Competitors spend years training and participating in the pageants in order to qualify. Lace became the first transgender woman to be crowned in the competition’s 99-year history.
25-year-old Lace said a major goal is to be a role model for young children.

I don’t know. Of all the crazy, criminal and dangerous things going on in the world today the fact that someone born with a penis was crowned Miss San Fransisco is way off my radar screen.
I can’t think of a City or an event I could care much less about. It’s not like the winner gained an advantage due to their gender at birth (I think that’s how we are supposed to refer to people’s original genders these days?). The current winner likely needed more makeup and plastic surgery than all the other contestants.

I don’t think lopping penises off removes all the other physical advantages an otherwise biologically male athlete would have over female athletes.
I also don’t think this issue goes away when/if the current administration gets out of power. I strongly suspect Biden and the majority of Democrat politicians couldn’t care less about transgender people. To them it is just another wedge issue they can exploit to get money and votes. But regardless of who’s in power transgender people are going to continue to want access to the same rights as other people. When the rights of one group of people conflict with another group of people things get messy. Especially when you have people looking to exploit the current conflict for their own personal gain.
I can’t speak for trans people. I have no personal frame of reference for what they have to deal with. While the media is treating us every day to incidents like these I suspect the vast majority of trans people just want to be left alone to do their own thing as most of the rest of us do.
I imagine it must be very challenging for someone to feel out of place in their bodies and in society. So I can understand why some may want to take part in the normal activities the rest of us have access to. The problem is the rest of us have rights as well.
I have no idea how to resolve these issues in a way that will make everyone feel they are being treated fairly. All I can say is I’m very glad my physical parts match my mental image of who and what I am.
I believe society needs to spend less time looking at themselves in the mirror, listening to wannabe celebrities on social media and spend more time going out into nature and enjoying their lives! Clocks a’tickin and you ain’t gettin any younger!

consensus of what is considered ‘normal’ there is an unaddressed issue that needs to be looked at… You can’t have a guy (who was like 400+ in the Men’s swimming rankings, coming in and Dominating women’s swimming (because he has @ least twice the power of his competitor’s) just because he say’s he’s a woman. You want to be a woman? Fine. Go for it. But you have to do it. Not just say it.
We were at a show all this past weekend and this ‘person’ (a vendor) decided he/she/whatever was too warm and took off it’s top (Tee shirt) . It had the fresh surgery marks of removed breasts and what looked like a surgically ‘shaved’ Adams apple(It was also 300+ pounds). Hey whatever floats your boat but i don’t want to see that.
have you no decency? respect for others? just like I don’t want to see IT making out (aggressively) with the partner (who knows) at a show where there are impressionable children viewing this Circus sideshow. They did get thrown out by the way, It was an event for a Children’s charity (a kid had cancer) and it was a huge fund raiser with ton’s of children present. you just don’t ‘act’ this way in public. I don’t want to see naked gay people on bicycles or in parks protesting ,reading pornography to children making out in front of children and my family just trying to enjoy the great outdoors.
This ‘aggressive display’ of exhibitionism has gotten out of control. Where is the decency? the decorum?
You want to cross dress, be a 40 year old INFANT! and wet your diaper? (Go for it Joe!) but do it in your own home! have some RESPECT for us normies out there who just want to go about our business and not be visibly ‘accosted’ by these peoples acts of aggression. J.Edgar Hoover was said to be a cross dresser, we had MANY Hollyweird folks who had unusual …lifestyles. Whatever, hoo-ray for hollyweird! But you really should get a handle on public displays of said weirdness because people just don’t want to see it (usually). These days I don’t know. When I mentioned the gay bicycle…parade where they cycled up to children dangling away my other question is what is wrong with the parents who bring out their kids to see a spectacle like this and Children’s story hour (usually read by a guy in a dress with lipstick a wig and a 5 o’clock shadow). Children are impressionable as hell at those young ages and to see some guy on all fours wiggling his ass at kids is just not normal no matter how you slice it. We are currently having a situation with the latest generation of Tweens, teens, Twits who have no social graces. barely able to communicate with the outside world. Some right here have broached the subject of legalizing certain drugs. Like ‘Pot’ for example, harmless right? But when you are too stoned to drive there is a danger to us who just want to get from point (A) to point (B) without erratic driving or recklessness. There just has to be a balance of what is legal and what shouldn’t be. but with this current .gov all bets are off. Gay pride events on the hell house lawn, Crack in the Library, Child sniffing daily on parade.
