The pancake man speaks wisdom

This is the guy I buy pancake mixes, syrup, etc. A few bucks more than Aldi’s or whatever, but worth every cent. He is just back from North Carolina with info…

But here’s the kicker, folks. While I was out there, seeing the faces of those who’ve been let down by those supposed to protect us, it struck me. This isn’t just about weather disasters. It’s about a disaster of leadership, of empathy, of understanding what makes America great - its people. We’re not just numbers in a report or statistics in a briefing. We’re the heart of this nation, and it’s time we start acting like it.

Nope. So you can read the rest of his details on travels to North Caroline where he made thousands of pancakes in the field for folks working on recovery and have lost everything. It’s quite a story. And yes, if you wish to buy stuff, here it is… I have never talked in person to the man nor have any affiliation. But, I do buy boxes of mix and things to have on hand in the pantry. Until I eat it all.

Congrats, Don102!! That’s a very admirable profession

While you’re out…about those pancakes…I didn’t mention that I am so skinny that I have to run around in the shower to get wet or that, even at the best of times, only cast half a shadow. As for with or without blueberries, I like both and won’t be choosey here.

Edit to add: Thanks for the link Tom2016. I had not heard of them before and will likely place an order.

You know I get it but here’s a controversial thing here , I try to leave opinion out of some things and I have been around enough to know that things are different if you’re one of those affective. Ok having said that I was watching the news yesterday and saw a woman saying we need help! We have no electricity, no water and many other things people need to live but I said to my old lady and I don’t mean it in a negative or harsh way but I said “ what does anyone do about electricity when every pole in that town has been washed down the river or whatever it is now” U know there’s a lot of electrical workers out there but it’s not in the millions and we’re talking about probably thousands of telephone poles and you can’t set them in holes with concrete and how many generators are still out there to be given away and stuff like that? It was a freak happening and another one’s gonna hit sometime tonight and as much as I hate to say it some of or even a lot of people might just be screwed like people were in WWII while their towns and cities were being leveled by bombs and cannon fire. IDK what’s gonna become of a lot of those people. It’s really bad and dropping off a little generator that runs on fuel that they can’t get and a case of bottled water and a sack of rice could help some but they may never get back to some kind of normal life ever or for years
