The recent election results are tough for our movement. But the last time Donald Trump was in office, we doubled our efforts and got critical legislation passed in the states while blocking extreme NRA-backed bills at the federal level. Taking on the incoming Trump administration wonât be easyâbut weâve done it before.

They do for sure advocate for stricter gun control measures. Most of the measures they propose make it a lot harder for law abiding citizens to be able to possess and access suitable firearms that can be effectively used for self defense. They also make it easier for law abiding citizens to be disarmed without due process.
The laws they propose and support do little or nothing to prevent violent criminals from accessing these tools to use against the citizens who are being prevented from having easy access to them. Their rhetoric might not be directly anti self defense but their actions are making it a lot harder for people to defend themselves. While their proposals can negatively impact all law abiding citizens they especially impact people with physical limitations who canât protect themselves from stronger violent criminals, even if you could somehow keep those criminals from accessing firearms.

The Onion is actually one of the organizations that is ROASTING liberals and Democrats on X all day long. and the article, while it desperately tries to link the Onion with Everytown for Gun Safety only says that they will be a PAID advertiser in the re-birth of InfoWars. NOT a partner.
The reputation of InfoWars was seriously damaged by this lawsuit and I doubt they will ever recover or that anyone will ever take them seriously again. Iâm sure The Onion paid pennies on the dollar for the assets of InfoWars, mostly the subscriber list and anything else that was left in the dusty basement, and if Anytown wants to give them money for advertising they will more than gladly take it.

The other articles I read said that Everytown is going to be the prime sponsor for content on the new info wars sites. If that is the case I suspect they are going to have at least a little influence on some of the information being published there.
At the very least I suspect that visitors to the sites are going to see a fair amount of anti firearm propaganda in the Everytown adds. Will be interesting to see if they try to shift their messaging a little to try and make it a little more palatable to an audience with a pro 2A bias.
I have no idea which way the Onion ownership and staff lean on 2A and self defense topics but I doubt Everytown would be very interested if they felt the new sites would be spending any noticeable time painting pro 2A positions in a positive light.
Maybe my concern is completely unfounded and the Onion will take their money and put a bunch of funny pro 2A messages next to the Everytown adds? But it could just as easily be a letting a fox into the hen house kind of deal. Not that Everytown has anywhere near the intellect of your typical illiterate fox.

From a business sense it is a cheap way to garner the e-mails of âlike-mindedâ folkâs to advertise/âFollowâ that aligns with their agenda. If you think about it if anyone HAD to give up all you worked for because someone (and a NY State Judge) Sued you for everything you owned because you said â A School shootingâ was a hoax? (Any First Amendment Violations here folkâs?âI think So!)

I Would like to think it is true. It is true if it cannot be proven falls. That is what truth is my definition. Time will tell. Iâll stop there.
Latest news on this story is that the sale may not be allowed to go through. The Onion apparently was not the highest bidder but the judge awarded it to them anyways. Perhaps as further punishment against Alex Jones because it sounds like the Onion was cooperating with some of the parents of the Sandy Hook victims and Everytown and/or perhaps because the judge didnât want any groups potentially aligned with Alex Jones to regain control.
Either way just because the Onion is willing to roast the Left doesnât necessarily mean they are Pro 2A. I think this is worth keeping an eye on. There is enough anti 2A and anti self defense propaganda out there already.
