The immigration and deportation thing

I have seen stories of a few legal residents/citizens being detained, then released once verified. I have not seen a single instance where someone here legally, who has not committed a deportable offense, was deported. Does such a story exist? Perhaps, but I’ve not seen one.

I’m not saying I have even seen such a thing, but how do you ensure that it doesn’t happen without giving people an opportunity to prove that the process shouldn’t apply to them?

I’ll go even one step further and say that a hearing shouldn’t necessarily apply to all of them. If ICE picks someone up who they can demonstrate is here illegally, then an affidavit and motion for summary judgment could, and likely should, replace that process.

But, to the extent they’re rounding up people who “might” be illegal, then the people they round up should be given a chance to demonstrate that they should not have been.

Possibly unintentionally, but you are making it sound as though they’re picking people up and taking them straight to the nearest airplane for deportation; that’s simply not true. This is evidenced by the fact that there have been people detained, verified and then released. Those stories do exist, the stories of legal residents having been deported do not.

Anywho, maybe another day we can “debate” this. I’ve got a migraine and it’s Independence Day so I’m out lol

I’m not trying to make it sound as if anything is happening.

I only want things not to happen.

Just a thought, but if ICE was in fact deporting folks who should not be EVERY case would be making national news. And I don’t see any except for the poster boy a few months back and that turned out to be a dud.

Sooooooo, they must be doing it right AND legally.

I guess I fall on the side that says (flame Suit On) we can depend on those in the position to make those decision to “Do the Right Thing”. Kinda like at the end of a trial where I disagree with the verdict, I have to say “Ok Good”, it’s the system we have and it’s the best system on Earth right this second.

An uber liberal at work just became a victim of a hit-and-run. Based on video footage, her own words, “he probably didn’t have insurance because he’s an illegal.”

…It makes some sense but gives no comfort if described as a civil war, created by globalist elites to divide and destroy the country, fought with managed information.

Sometimes it makes more sense not to make sense, if that makes sense. As a matter of fact more often than not.
