Texas is shake, raffling and rolling

I have some vacation to burn. This is perfect, as I can get down there before it gets hotter than the sun.

Won’t need it now. The crisis is mainly over. I think.

Abbott’s announcement is being taken as a heroic, great act. He never should have caved to political correctness in the first place. He was simply correcting something he never should have done to begin with.

Abbot’s a RINO in my book. But I’m still wearing a mask. False sense of security. My new mask. .

Looking at heading to the Republic of Texas this spring for some shooting. Glad masks are no longer required there.

I never understood the term “RINO.” What is a political party, except a name only? Politicians aren’t family, the only thing that binds them together is that they find themselves to the right or left of center.

This is why Republicans will continue to struggle in national elections. They hate themselves almost as much as they hate Democrats. Don’t get me wrong, Democrats hate each other, too, but they all agree to hate Republicans more. I can think of a few former Democrats that have been pushed from the party, but every elected Republican I can think of is hated by their own party. Republican voters hold grudges for years, and will actively campaign against Republican office holders who slighted them in a compromise bill 23 years ago.

In my opinion, a RINO is a republican that votes like a democrat. I know what democrats are generally going to vote for… A perfect example is several republicans ran on repealing Obamacare back before Trump was elected. But when Trump was in office, and the republicans had the house and senate, they did not do what they said they would do, and did not vote to repeal that law.

In all honesty, I have more respect for a socialist running, as at least they will do what they say.

True. I would never vote for Bernie Sanders, but he says what he believes. I wish more politicians did that.

@Ouade5 I totally agree. I don’t think I agree with anything Sanders says or believes, but I do respect that he is pretty consistent, and does what he says he will. Kinda sad more politicians don’t.

I thoroughly disagree.

When Sanders talks about “what’s fair,” with regard to paying taxes, and then doesn’t pay what’s fair, because the “tax code” doesn’t require it, that’s hypocrisy. Maybe he says what he believes, but he doesn’t live what he believes (you should, however).

Well, ‘fair’ in politics is never what you or I would think. :grinning: Not to get too far into politics, but socialism never effects the ruling class like it does the common folks.

Well, comrades, I didn’t mean to kick off a political discussion. To me a RziNO is something else in disguise. They’re a liar. In my book there’s nothing worse than a liar. The say that Satan is the father of lies. That should tell you what I think about them.

The only thing that’s going to happen is Texas’ Covid infection and death rate is going to increase dramatically.

Let’s hope that doesn’t happen.

You know it will. Especially with that hot new Brazilian strain that’s already here.

Why just Texas? What about Iowa, Mississippi, Montana, North Dakota, Arizona, Georgia, Florida, Idaho, Missouri, Alaska, Nebraska, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, now Maryland, and soon Alabama?

Good point.
