Really…and this has people worried ? think our borders and our military and law enforcement are more important than gambling, which is what this bill covers. Is it perfect ? No, but a step in the right direction for things long overdue

Don’t all of us pay federal income tax on the money we choose to spend on recreational activities and supplies? Likes guns and ammo and membership fees and travel expenses and anything else that goes into enjoying your hobby? If you want full deductibility of losses/expenses (like a business) then you have to declare it as a business (legally) and conduct it accordingly.
PS: This doesn’t affect professional gamblers. If they have any sense at all they already operate as a business, in the legal sense, and therefore the tax status of their profits and losses are handled under the applicable business tax codes. Everyone else is a hobbyist.
