# Supreme Court Upholds Biden Administration’s Limits on ‘Ghost Guns’

How does everyone feel about this? I am not surprised that they upheld the limits but am surprised that it was overwhelming with only 2 Justice giving dissents.

Especially since the government is also counting stolen firearms with the serial numbers defaced as “ghost guns.”

Well, yeah, stealing guns should still be illegal and even being in the possession of a stolen gun.

Im not for it. Im an American, and enjoy it as a hobby. I dont sell them or anything, just personal use.
Im sick and tired of people, courts lumping all gun owners into the same group as murders, thieves, etc.
Gun control always start with baby steps and as all have said before, im sure bad guys will immediately start serializing their guns.
Expect more gun laws to come

I would say most of us if not all on this site are like you, but not everyone else is so I would rather error on safety then think everyone is like us a lot of people out there have evil in their hearts.

I am in Virginia, and I have yet to see anything like that at any gun show in Central VA. As a long time, active, member of the VCDL, I attend almost every gun show in Central Virginia, except when vaacations get in the way. I was just at one last weekend.

Southern NV is a whole different animal.
I was in a Sportsmans the other day and a guy standing next to me at the gun counter wouldn’t consider any other gun besides a white-framed SCCY and kept asking if they had 30 round clips for it. 🙄

Naw, not really. They refuse to enforce the actual ‘people laws’ on the bad people’ So they have to create gun laws instead. If they would actually charge and prosecute those that commit violent acts WITH guns, they wouldn’t have to go around trying to control the law abiding as well. But, they want control over all people, especially the ‘good’ ones. So ‘gun laws’ it is.

I see it as more government overreach with the intent of serializing (and of course registering) all firearms. The argument was that only criminals want unregistered firearms. While I’m sure that’s true of criminals, there are also those who want them because they don’t trust their government (for some reason!). Justice Kavanaugh also made an argument for the justification of his ruling that went along the lines of: since the 1968 GCA , technology has improved and made it too easy to build a ghost gun. My question to that statement is: why is my right to bear arms subject to the current level of technology? Are other rights in danger of this restriction as well?
The justices also accepted the government’s argument that building a 80% firearm was comparable to assembling furniture from IKEA. Having built several of these, I can say that is just not true.
