‘Study’ on School Shooters Really an Innuendo-Based Hit Piece on Gun Owners

I would say praise G-d. That metaphorically hits the nail square on the head.

Yeah, statistics are a great thing when used accurately and honestly.
But it is (and always has been) WAY to easy to manipulate data to make it fit a particular narrative or outcome. And there are those that are true experts at making it happen.
The growth of technology and the internet has made it easier for ‘intelligent’ people to dig into this ‘data’, and find the real story. (Global Warming anyone??) But unfortunately there are far more sheep on the other side that just blindly accept everything they are told without question.
I wish I had an answer for that…

Many of us were raised around guns, and from what I’ve seen here, we aren’t a threat to school children.

This may not be the best example… The world is getting warmer … It has been for 12,800 to 13,000 years ago since the last impact… The question is, are we having an effect … One would have to be naive, to believe, we do not have an effect on the environment … This does not mean that I endorse the doom and gloom … Rather a practical view of what is happening and why …

There is only ONE ANSWER when there’s any questions INVOLVING GUNS and the FACTUAL ANSWER is “GUNS DON’T KILL” it’s ill minded individuals who have no respect for human life who commit their crimes with whatever weapons of their choosing.

OK, I’ll give you that one. I grew up in a place that was buried under a glacier around 10,000 years ago. Today, we call it Wisconsin.

I guess I was more referring to all of the ‘gloom and doom’ predictions that seem to be recycled every ten years or so. Usually, around the the same time the previous 10 year ‘end of the world’ deadline passes’.

All one needs to do is look at the Obamas. All the fear of the rising sea levels, that was going to swallow up the coastal cities in America. (Which might be a good thing?). But they they go and buy oceanfront property at Martha’s Vineyard. Those are the kind of ‘statistics’ that really matter to me.

Yeah, he was spot on for sure.
And that was way before the data twisters had the computers, media, and other technologies at their disposal to formulate and broadcast their ‘findings’, as they do today.

Statistics are the results of the questions asked and the desired outcome. Tough to find a non-partisan statistic these days.
