This picture reminds me of a cover of the American Legion magazine from years ago where a young Marine was saluting. His hand was a metal hook. I teared up. Same reaction at The Wall.

Apropos on this solemn occasion.

One more year has gone buy in the blink of the eye. Some of us or a loved one has lost someone that was a important part of live. It’s very easy to slip back into darkness and bad memories, Easier said than done but I try to remember the good times spent with the very few people I’ve gotten close to and how lucky I was to have known them. At this moment in time I only have one very close living friend. We have memories that we will cherish till death and beyond.
REMEMBER THE GOOD MOMENTS TO HONER THE LOST.
