Walking along today, paying attention to those around me, I realized, I wasn’t paying attention to what was going on above me., the walkways and catwalks. As I thought about it, those are prime tactical positions where an unseemly s.o.b. could stand and cause terrible trouble.
So, like we say in construction, “Look Up and Live”.

There is just so much going on in urban areas. All the people, all the windows all the hustle and bustle. Just too much going on for me to properly recognize and assess.

I started to pay attention to ceilings after watching Luc Besson’s Leon: The Professional, and The Exorcist.
Seriously now, summer allows me to see “more” with brighter surroundings, and wearing sunglasses gives opportunities to glance at people and things.

In the case of your first photo I would also be distracted by the guy in the blue shirt and cowboy hat. While I was busy trying to figure out why he needed two separate off body carry man purses someone with a knife could be sneaking up behind me;)
