So, practice how much? What is your accuracy goal and how much practice does it take to accomplish and maintain that accuracy?
This is very personal. But practicing means - repeat everyday, consistently until you find out you feel good and somebody confirms you are good. Then establish a new goal with higher standard, continue your practice, pushing yourself, until your new goal is achieved and confirmed by somebody else.

What does that mean? You never know how much practice you need to accomplish the goal, but you know that your practice never ends to maintain that goal.

What are you capable of doing then train to improve. My draw from the holster was 2.5 seconds, 6 rounds into the A zone was 8.3 seconds, take a drill and perform it to see what you are capable of doing then work on improving that skill. With training and practice you will see improvements. How far you want to go with this is up to you. I practice to maintain my skill set and to keep me sharp. There is always room for improvement.

Well this image seems to suggest “Center Hold” is the “Perfect Shot”… So I’m going with center hold. ![]()
Actually, I think the manuals of all my pistols show a center hold (I’ve read some). That’s just my default sight picture no matter what I take to the range and it’s always been combat effective out to 15yds. Get sight alignment and split the bullseye in half with the front sight.
Welcome to the community!
Most guns are set to center fire while others are set to combat fire.
The height of your sights from the barrel also dictates how it mat shoot low or shoot high.
Best way to see how your pistol shoots have a target at 2 yards and aim center and see where it shoots. Then move it back 5 yards and see what it does. Then 5 yards more and see what happens.
