Been a native of Tennessee for 51 years have traveled some England, Belgium, Germany, Austria, and made a wrong turn into Czechoslovakia (scared the piss out of me since it was still part of the USSR).

Same Same here in Northern Poland …a lot of the translators/‘Guides’ were said to be KGB/FSB.
Some even had little Red Stars on their lapels.
