Senator Duckworth

Being a former Illinois native, I received the same computer generated response from her. Sad part is, she took a lifetime oath to support and defend the constitution. That doesn’t end when the uniform comes off.

She maybe a combat veteran, but she definitely not anybody I want in my army. She can’t follow simple rules to an oath she has taken many times. And that is to uphold the United States Constitution. Time for Tammy Duckworth to go. She should be stripped of all her benefits and pensions for that violation of oath to the American People. There a lady by the name of Hubbard she is also a veteran and retired LEO who supports the 2nd Ammendment that has filed to run for Tammy Duckworth Senate seat let’s work to see she gets elected to that seat. Duckworth is failing the People of Illinois.

I was thinking the exact same thing when I opened this. Idiot farm at it’s best.

When she first ran, that was basically her entire campaign. I remember seeing posters everywhere that just showed her artificial legs. That was it. Vote for her, she lost her legs in combat. And if you didn’t vote for her, then you hate veterans.

At the time, I remember thinking that if that’s what qualifies someone to be in office, then we have plenty of wounded warriors who we need to send to DC to replace the current crowd. As much as her campaign bothered me, I have to question why the GOP can’t find more veterans to run successful campaigns. Then again, they get wounded veterans like Dan Crenshaw in office and people make fun of him for his missing eye, so maybe politics is all disingenuous.

It’s this ^^^^^^. Plain and simple. The type of person (narcissism + amoral opportunism for an ethical rudder + the ability to walk and talk like a “suit”) who can run a successful campaign in America today is the exact kind of person you do not want making and/or enforcing the rules.

“It is a well-known fact that those people who must want to rule people are, ipso facto, those least suited to do it. Anyone who is capable of getting themselves made President should on no account be allowed to do the job.”

  • Douglas Adams, “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy”

I forget the name, but I remember a comedian saying “What kind of person do you have to be to look at all the problems in this world and think, ‘You know what the problem it? I’m not in charge!’”

US Senator is just as big of a creep magnet, and state senators are simply less talented versions of the same kind of people. If we could just stop ourselves from electing and promoting Ivy League law school grads, we could fix a whole lot of stuff pretty quickly.

If you want a veteran for office Peggy Hubbard will fit you thoughts she also a retired LEO and as she puts it not a bought candidate. And pro 2nd Ammendment let’s show Tammy Duckworth the door. My dad was a double amputee both legs from a truck accident and he didn’t like anyone to give him simpithy he could do anything that a normal person could built a thriving business from the ground up and also farmed 200 acres as a hobby with his brother

She is a political hack and climber. She has parlayed her disability into multiple jobs. She used he veteran/disability status to rise into positions of importance. While she was IDVA Director the was commonly referred to as “Legless Tammy” by her field staff. She was most noted for starting programs that sounded good but had such narrow eligibility paths that they were impossible to gain access to.

Duckworth ran unsuccessfully for a seat in the United States House of Representatives in 2006, then served as Director of the Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs from 2006 to 2009 and as Assistant Secretary for Public and Intergovernmental Affairs at the United States Department of Veterans Affairs from 2009 to 2011. In 2012, Duckworth was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives, where she served two terms. Duckworth was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2016, defeating Republican incumbent Mark Kirk.[4] She is the first Thai American woman elected to Congress, the first person born in Thailand elected to Congress, the first woman with a disability elected to Congress, the first female double amputee in the Senate, and the first senator to give birth while in office. Duckworth is the second of three Asian American women to serve in the U.S. Senate, after Mazie Hirono, and before Kamala Harris.

Don’t forget to include Illinois with New York and California. Dick Durbin is our other Democratic senator in the state and they are both extremely anti-2 A regardless of the spew

If Americans are not safe enough to enjoy certain freedoms, how do we know our “representatives” are safe enough to act as leaders?

They are not leaders they are representatives, although too many have forgotten that!

I’m glad to hear I have one person representing me.

When you provide that information, it would be much more effective to also include her full name and contact information for Hubbard’s campaign, her internet homepage, perhaps a social media page (preferably on sites not owned/controlled by Progressives), possibly her headquarter’s US mail address(es), and etc.

Make it as easy as possible for people to get involved in supporting candidates that will definitely oppose the anti-2A politicians.

I’m sure that once this law is enacted criminals will rush down to register their gun and on the way stop by their psychologists office to get their exam.

Awesome. At this point I think it is past time to vote them all out. If this is what your represent thinks, it’s time to get them voted out. And if it’s a matter of who will we get to replace them who hold OUR values, maybe it’s time to reread the Constitution & Isaiah 6:8. … I have a feeling writing this may come back to bite me in the tukiss.

SCOTUS ruled back in, I believe 2005, that felons are not required to register their firearms as it is against their 5th Amendment right to self-incrimination. That’s what makes registration laws so effective, as soon as you are required to register, and you fail to do so, you become a felon and are no longer required to register.

Duckworth is worthless. She was my senator before I moved to Tennessee and everytime that I wrote her I got back a generic response from her intern. My current rep, Steve Cohen is equally worthless and gave me a similar “I support the second amendment but**” response to this bill.

I am a veteran as well as a former deputy. 98% of the other deputies who i worked with that owned personal firearms did not register them due to knowing full well that its a basic tracking device. Before i became a deputy and right after I got out of the military, I went to work at a local gun shop, one day I decided to test the NICS background system. I ran the background of someone that was a felon with everything correct including their social, and with 30 sec they got approved for a handgun. This person did 8 yrs in prison for assault with a deadly weapon and got approved but a friend of mine that was also a vet and had a clean record was denied. Duckworth might want to change her mind since she is supporting a felon( Ms.Jackson-Lee).
