Senate releases text of new gun legislation

The Senate released the text of their new gun control legislation on Tuesday. This legislation currently has the support of several GOP Senators. This includes Sens. Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, Joni Ernst of Iowa, Todd Young of Indiana, Shelley Moore Capito of West Virginia, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, Roy Blunt of Missouri, Richard Burr of North Carolina, Bill Cassidy of Louisiana, Susan Collins of Maine, John Cornyn of Texas, Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, Rob Portman of Ohio, Mitt Romney of Utah and Thom Tillis of North Carolina. It can still be stopped in the Senate but will require that a number of these Senators change their position on the Bill. Please take the time to reach out to them and strongly encourage them to rethink their position.

Information on contacting various Senators can be found here:

Among the provisions of this Bill is the inclusion of $750 Million to help States enact Red Flag laws. There is also a provision to use enhanced background checks for those 18 - 21 including encouragement of States to include juvenile records in the National Instant Criminal Background Check system with grants.

Vote the RINO’s out.
We’ve never voted for Cornyn down here in TX.
People keep voting for the same awful officials year after year, decade after decade.

A guest article over at Gateway Pundit. Lawrence Sellin, Ph.D. is a retired U.S. Army Reserve colonel and a veteran of Afghanistan and Iraq. He writes…

First, recognize that the United States is not a functioning constitutional republic, but a government being deliberately transformed into a one-party totalitarian state.

The federal government, as an institution, is hopelessly corrupt and, although we have elections, we do not have a representative government. It cannot be reformed. It can only be ripped out and replaced.

The Republican leadership has solidified its choice to no longer represent what had been its constituency, but to adopt the identity of junior partners in the ruling class. By repeatedly passing bills that contradict the views of its voters, the Republican Party has made political orphans of tens of millions of Americans.

The Redflag aspect must be removed or a penalty added to those who make up Redflag issues against people who there is no justification for the Redflag, how about as a penalty the person making a fradulent Redflag claim has to pay the person they accused of the Redflag $10,000 out of their own pocket!

You can count on Murkowski, Collins, and Romney, to side with libs anytime there is a question that regards Americans losing rights protected by the Constitution, the fact that these 3 still claim to be Republicans is pathetic, but whats more pathetic is that they were elected and re-elected by States that believe they are Republicans come on AK, MA, and UT, vote these Dems out!

The majority of Americans no longer vote at all, much less vote in primaries where the candidates are actually vetted. Nationally, turn out in primaries is around 19% of the eligible electorate.

Red flag laws are the new frivolous lawsuits without the benefit of “innocent until proven guilty.”

Not sure if he’s being shadow-banned but haven’t heard from Sen. Ted Cruz on the matter.

You WILL see a campaign of anti2a’s make allegations based on “their feelings” that so and so should have his/her/them/they’s guns taken away, because H/H/T/T scare me.

And, you will have the law enforced. No checks and balances.

@Jackson1 , the $10,000 fine can NOT be charged off by a bankruptcy nor should it be paid for by some group or rich anti-American.

A monetary fine is in no way stiff enough a penalty for a fraudulent red flag claim.

This is absolutely not something that should be able to be brushed away by money. Plenty of wealthy folks out there, or companies happy to create a crowd source fundraising campaign, would happily cover that.

Fraudulent/malicious use of a red flag must be a criminal offense with loss of rights/incarceration.

Interesting reading. Red flag laws pretty much leave anybody and everybody sticking out like a sore thumb. These spineless weasel politicians are gonna do exactly what ever fits themselves and who feeds their pocket. This is just the tip of the iceberg. Take a little bit here and a little bit their, and pretty soon we’re left with nothing. The nine scariest words are, I’m with the government, and I’m here to help.:triumph: Stay safe y’all.:+1:
