The only advice other than whats been given is to Google the gun for info. Such as xyz issues or xyz problems.

I learned alot.
A few of the ones listed should open your eyes and help you find what you looking for, or remove them from consideration.

Keep asking questions, research answers. When you run out of questions you may have the top 3 to pick from, or maybe only 1. Rent them, shoot them. Then make the decision.

Good luck

I love my IWI Masada, now looking to add the Slim as a more concealable EDC.
My full size shoots great.

Cross straw holster it’s very comfortable in certain situations just be sure you don’t flag your own body in the process of drawing your weapon. The last thing you want to do is put a round through your support arm under the stress of acting in self-defense

I fell in love with a steel Jericho .40 so was desperate to try a Masada, though I realize there’s a big difference. The Masada Slim Elite did not disappoint. Shoots great, fits my hand incredibly well with the small backstrap, and is highly concealable for my frame. The lack of Kydex holster selection right now is a bit annoying but, since the Slim is becoming increasingly available, I think that will change. :crossed_fingers:t3: Overall, I’m just impressed with IWI and Canik productions.

No, just an outside waist band holster. OWB holster is required for the basic class. (Found a reasonably priced leather OWB holster at Crossbreed Holsters.) IWB and off body is another class. I don’t think they even teach cross-body at my range.

I understood what you meant when you stated OWB. Grin…

Not picking on you, just debunking that statement.

You mean like the gun pointed at my nuts when I carry AIWB, or the gun pointed at my ass when I carry at 4:00 OWB, or the gun pointed at everyone behind me in a horizontal shoulder rig, or the gun pointed at the baby stroller behind me if I have a OWB with a forward cant, or the gun pointed at EVERYONE on my left when I carry in a waist pouch…???

That statement applies to EVERY modes of carry at any given point. Which way the gun is oriented while carrying matters nothing and any trainer that mentions it is a fool just looking to sound smart on what he believes is some perceived spark of brilliance of his own invention.

Make sure your holster covers you trigger and it’s made out of stiff material, your gun is mechanically safe, and then practice-practice-practice your draw until you KNOW your booger picker is NOT on the trigger until your gun is on target and you intend to shoot. That’s it…

I have a Smith & Wesson M&P 40 2.0 and love it for several reasons, fit, feel, price and dependability seems great with Winchester X FMJ’s.
I’ve experienced a few feed issues with non-fmj hollow points but i believe that issue is due to my impatience in researching ammo options.
Sig Sauer is definitely a quality arm and I’m certain you would not be disappointed.
I recently purchased my first Springfield Armory firearm and i couldn’t be happier.
Many shooting ranges associated with USCCA offer firearm rentals so you could try out a few options and I’m sure any experienced enthusiast would be happy to help you explore your options.
Have fun and enjoy your journey.

well true HOWEVER this might not apply to the Sig 320???

Not sure what that means. I applies to any handgun you carry on you body.

He’s saying don’t point a 320 at your nuts since they like to go boom without a trigger press.

Yeah, sooooo I’m still not 100% on with that particular storyline…

Plenty of video evidence out there of it happening.

I don’t know how common it is, so you could possibly AIWB a 320 your whole life and not shoot your dick off.

When it comes to that particular piece of my anatomy I am not a gambling man.

Don’t own one and don’t really want/need one but have plenty of friends carrying them without any incidents so… But again, not in my radar so zero research on the subject so my mind is open.

Sig did own up to it and fixed the problem and hasn’t happened again.

Did they finally admit it?

Last I heard they were blaming holsters.

And has shipped almost 500,000 pistols to our military since they won the contract in 2017. That’s a lot of guns successfully going bang out there. So again, I’m not really worried.

Kinda like the jam Remington got into years ago with their triggers and ended up going to a MUCH worse design based on market pressure and civil suits. Basically every incident I bumped into had to do with kitchen counter gunsmiths or cruddy, poorly maintained guns. I still have 3-4 original trigger 700 that I tuned myself and they are flawless and 100% safe. you couldn’t PAY ME to run their current X-Mark Pro trigger, it’s a POS.

The SIG videos out there, I have zero idea of who those folks are, what they did to their guns or what kind of maintenance they do. And unfortunately nowadays you have to make all your products ā€œfool(spelled I-D-I-O-T)proofā€ or you will get sued into extinction. John Moses Browning could not have brought out his 1911 product into the military/commercial marketplace today under ANY circumstances. The lawyers would have eaten him out of existence.
