San Jose requiring gun buyers to be video recorded

“The sale or transfer of a Firearm or of Firearm Ammunition to persons who are not sworn peace officers shall be recorded by the video surveillance system in such a way that the facial features of the purchaser or transferee are clearly visible,” the ordinance says.

That is not a good thing

It’s not those sales that result in firearms landing in the hands of those who are legally estopped from possessing them.

But those sales are too haaarrrrd, and those people are dangerous! Easier to go after the people doing it the right way.

Socialism can creep up on you but facism comes like a bat to the head.

I’m sure all firearms counters have cameras but to require it is ridiculous. :unamused:

What if you wear a mask, you know, for everyone’s safety.

Ridiculous, but this is why I don’t want to compromise with them at all. They NEVER stop trying to advance gun control/bans. Why would police be exempt? Some of them buy guns they are not going to use as duty guns.

Video recorded, seems wrong, buyers are not committing a crime by buying. I guess the people of that city want that. Kinda like my privacy. I’ll try to live where I’m most free, but also safe.

One gun store clerk told me, that all gun store transactions are video recorded. Is that true? Or is that regulation dependent on the state?

If you look for the camera I am sure you will find it, or ask.

It’s all about anything they can do to ban/take/stop guns. Tax people to death, intimidate them, shame them, dox them. Ladies and gentlemen, presenting the liberal left.

It’s San Jose, in California. Not surprised.

How else do you feed the videos to state-controlled facial recognition software! That is the next, naturally following requirement.
