Revisionist History that is Wrong

Continuing the discussion from Second Amendment is not about guns – it's about anti-Blackness, a new book argues:

This is a very interesting perspective on the 2nd Ammendment, one with which I do not agree. This is akin the the Critical Race Theory now being forced on our kids in many parts of the country. It is a revisionist attempt to skew what the Founding Fathers intended. The references to the UK and and indigenous peoples is very much uninformed. Before the UK was created, Britian and British military attacked and displaced indigenous peoples across the globe to include the Americas and Australia. Australia was started as a penal colony. The author needs to do more homework before she makes these comparisons. Everyone seems to forget these days that it was a Republican President, Abraham Lincoln, that freed the slaves. It was Democrats in the south that fought so hard to suppress blacks, their voting rights, and many other freedoms guaranteed by our Constitution and the Bill of Rigjts. Like CRT that focuses solely on the history of blacks in America and completely discounts or ignores the Chinese and Irish immigrants that built the transcontinental railroad! What about the contributions of the Mexican Americans? There were even qhite indentured servants that weren’t much more than slaves. We need to stop trying to rewrite history and teach all of our history, but more importantly focus on the future for our children and grandchildren.

CRT does not even give the correct history of the African Americans. That is about as far as I will go on subjects like this.
