Almost no reliable details but sounds like some fighting turned into a shootout after closing time in front of some bars. Certainly could be gang related though News outlets seem to have a ban against using the Gang word for some reason.

If we make enough of 'em, I’m sure eventually the violence will end.

Maybe if we send all the criminals to law school so they can realize how many laws they are breaking?? Oh wait, the law school criminals just end up on Wall Street or in DC using their knowledge to break laws without any consequences:/

I just read the story in detail. I was struck by this:

“I’m just shocked that somebody would come here… and do something as heinous as this… Right here in downtown, in a safe space.”

I feel for any innocent victim of violence of any kind, but you know what I’m shocked about? That people are so dumb that they think pronouncing somewhere as a “safe space” automatically makes it safe.

I realize that California has practically made it a crime to be able to defend yourself, but that only applies to law abiding people, and not to criminal predators. You know what? There are bad people out there. Don’t be shocked when they do bad things; take steps to keep yourself and your family safe before they do bad things.

Can you spell “The Brandon Cartel”?
This is going to become the new normal in every state after May 23rd. When title 42 gets lifted. Save your practice ammo and keep your neck well oiled!

We don’t need no stinking cartel boss, we got Brandon Xi Escobar!
Got Fentanyl?

None of what we see or hear should come as a surprise!
Maybe it’s time to change my investment portfolio, since we are not part of the solution…
I hear the return on investment is more than 10,000% Let’s Go Brandon!

As responsible Gun owners, we saw this coming, it’s called situational awareness!

Shooters are cowards with illegally obtained guns.
Change my my mind.

Sad but I’m not surprised at all. That area is where my son and his buddies regularly hang out.

One more law, just one more, as long as includes “common sense” repeated ad nauseum…

Watched some vids of the fight/shooting…why there’s so many vids speaks volumes as to the stupidity of the smartphone generation.
Of course Newsome couldn’t let an opportunity go to waste…
Don’t get in a fight with your guns, folks, they might start shooting.

You have to wonder sometimes if there would be fewer deaths without people jumping up to video the event.

Perhaps if we put felons who are found in possession of firearms in prison we might, just might not have so many shootings. As it is in Kallyforniya it is up to the judge’s discretion whether he or she adds a firearms enhancement upon sentencing. Moonbeam McBrown campaigned for his first go-round at ruling Daffyfornia with “USE A GUN—GO TO JAIL”. One of his last acts in his last reign was to sign kinder, gentler legislation that allows weak-kneed judges to “use their discretion” in sentencing with regard to armed allegations.

When I worked in court I didn’t take an accurate tally, but it seemed to me that the armed allegation in any criminal complaint was the first thing that was dealt away. Even before Moonbeam campaigned on it, being armed at the time of the offense or at the time of arrest carried a five year bottom. Felon in possession of a firearm carried a five year bottom. The Federales’ rules are an eight year bottom and a ten year bottom. It also covers a felon in possession of ammunition or gun parts. It is one of the least prosecuted crimes on the federal books.

Three arrested so far.
All three are prohibited persons and obviously have utter disregard for gun laws in the books.

But, knee jerk reaction from the left is to enact more gun laws.

The new / repeated gun law proposals are coming out real soon to CA. And none of the proposed wording affects the criminals. Love the fact they want to sue the manufacturers as well. Guess we should now look at suing car manufacturers for auto accidents when a law to sue gun manufacturers is finally passed.

I haven’t seen a comment about this yet, but have you noticed how they’re referring to this as a “mass shooting?” Constructive statistics.

The anti gunners tend to define a mass shooting as any shooting with either 3 or 4 and more victims. Most of these “mass” shootings are gang on gang violence with the occasional innocent bystander getting caught in the crossfire. Though when the antis talk to the press they usually imply that all these “mass” shooting events are the lone gunman intentionally going after innocent people. They have no problems blatantly misleading people with cherry picked, and usually flawed to begin with, statistics in order to promote their agenda.

Every statement that has been said regarding needing to enact new gun laws by politicians has been patently false. Bushmaster/Remington were sued successfully to the point of bankrupting them. California has all the laws in the statement the white house gave and none stopped gangs from shooting up one another and a few others in the process.

Step 1: Pass anti-gun laws
Step 2: People break anti-gun laws
Step 3: Call for more anti-gun laws
Step 4: Release criminals who broke anti-gun laws
Step 5: Repeat

I didn’t think of it before, but when the title of this post popped up again tonight, I realized the headline is just click-bait. Yeah, so it happened near the CA Capitol; they make it sound like it’s somehow related and leave the connection to possible insurrection or other political act to your imagination.

Dirt bag “journalists.”
