went out and shot the 400 legend. Top target are 190’s messed up a few shots but thats 15 rounds.

Bottom target is 215gr. Think I’ll stick with the 190’s.

Then shot a mag out of the beretta APX-A1. notthe best but it was 80 yards…lol

I leave long distance for the rifles.

Everything was at 80 yards.

Brought out my new (to me) shield plus.

First pic was shootinga couple mags of 147 gr hollow points. Not the best.

2nd is of shooting 124 gr blazer. Shot better.

Then I loaded 5 rounds of 124 gr gold dots and 1st shot was dead nuts in between the eyes aiming at the head. Next 4 were center of throat. Loaded 5 more up and once again, 1st shot was a good head shot and next 4 in the throat.

Confused on that one. Gun was hot but…

Next week I’ll get out 115’s and see how they do

Your anticipation of recoil from the heavier ammo may be some of the problem. Have a friend load 3 of your mags, each with a different weight round, without you knowing which is what. Shoot all 3 (different targets) then write the bullet weight on each target and read the results.

And hand them a couple Snap caps to toss in for malfunction training as well.

You’ll be amazed how much you do or don’t jump as you’re squeezing that trigger when it DOSENT go boom as expected!

I did that in that military as RSO. Young kid was flinching and I would put a spent piece of brass mixed in with live rounds to show him
