Just got a Kitten (orphan) yesterday
will need to be bottle fed for a bit,
already proven she is a fighter, climbed out of her encampment
this morning and woke me up w/ her tiny squeak!
(This playpen held (14) other cats much bigger than her by far!)
She now has her own pillow on the side of my bed my late wife
rested her head.
I named her “Wanda”

I love that we “gun people” have the opportunity to do more than talk about grip, sight alignment, trigger press, and situational awareness of all the dangers of this world. These kinds of discussions in this quote thread are meaningful.

Thanks Sinbad. You have added a lot to my life with your music recommendations also. Some are on a playlist I have and I paint to some of them. You are right, we are more than single-lane beings no matter what the passion is (guns, horses, art, carpentry, gardening, animals, etc). We are here to learn and grow, step into the expansiveness of this world, right here, right now. There is plenty out there to be worried about but I like to go to the big picture…what is bigger than that which I see with my eyes (that even blind men can see)?
What is the big picture? What don’t I want to miss? What is my purpose? How can I live in alignment with my values? What reminds me to do so? Who do I admire and learn from? What do I take away from this situation? How do I take life’s lessons and inhale them into my being so that I may stay well rooted while I reach for the sky? Who do I love and who can I love even more? How do I turn scars into smiles? What can a weed teach me? What do my tears have to say?
We are so much more than we appear to be. Thanks for reminding me.
