Purchasing firearms online

I agree - and they appreciate it! I work for a local gun shop/range as my second fun job and when someone is looking for something we don’t have, we’re sending them online and suggesting they use the gun shop/range as the FFL. It’s not the same, but at least you’re still giving the local gun shop some business - and they do appreciate it!!

Yeah I really do want to buy from this particular shop. It’s a range/training center as well and they have been so awesome and patient when I’ve been there. It’s where I took my handgun class and got to do some shooting with an instructor of theirs.

Hi, James::
I’m a long time member and also have reservations on purchasing on online. However, I am a member of ARMSLIST. There, I am able to arrange contacts with people (local), meet them somewhere and compete the transaction. GOOD DEAL so far.

That sounds great! I’ll have to look into that.
However the search came to an end for now.
For today I became the owner of a Gen 4 Glock 17. Not one of the guns on my list but I walked away from 2-3 that I was interested in and they all sold while I dinked around whilst getting my stuff together. So I went to the shop today determined to leave with something in light of the recent news. I knew there was no time to waste. I even got to shoot a 17 before I bought the one in the case. So I’ll just work with it and learn the ins and outs and make it my own.

George-I checked out Grab A Gun and that site is awesome. I have to say that the first thing that caught my eye is their work raising funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. My line of work involves my working with pediatric CF kids sometimes. So that makes me appreciate that company all the more!

Glad you looked. You won’t beat their prices or reputation. I have never had a problem.

Congrats on the new addition! Get some extra standard capacity mags (17+ rounds) while you still can and a good safe if you haven’t already. Good luck finding ammo but dry fire practice is just as important.

Thank you Dwight! I started checking out the Bud’s site yesterday and I liked what I saw. I was on Palmetto 2-3 weeks ago but I’ll have to go there again. And I don’t believe I’ve been to Gun Buyer yet so I’ll check it out too. I appreciate the tips!

Well Jorr, you talked me into it. Last week I went to Sportsman’s Warehouse to handle a PDP and was more impressed than I was with my PPQ. In the end I got the compact 4". And get this, it was balloon day. At the register you pick a balloon from a carriage. Inside there is a tag for a discount from 5 to 100% off. I picked one of the 50% off tags so I got the PDP for $325. Took it to the range Saturday and was very impressed. Once I mount my Vortex Venom it will become my new carry. Thanks for the push!
