Prices for group training events?

I’m in the process of branching out into law enforcement training and will be conducting my first class this summer. I have a solid network from my previous experience, but I’m looking to expand my reach to different agencies a few times a year.

I’m curious to know what other instructors typically charge agencies for training. Right now, I’m offering a 3-day course, but I plan to establish 2 to 5-day courses by the end of the summer focused on pistol, rifle, and first aid training.

What are the price ranges you normally charge for similar training? Any insights or experiences you can share would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Also, if anyone has suggestions on training programs I would appreciate it.

I wish I had advice for you, but I’m interested in hearing the answers you get.

If I was you I would be checking ranges in a 50 mile radius of me to learn local prices. Good luck hope it all works out for you. Look around Leesburg, Ocala, Tampa, Orlando areas.

So am I. I’m teaching a class of 30 Fed, State, County and City Police Officers in July for a really good deal. One, because I’ve worked with them all before and are my Departments and two, it gives the training some legitimacy the more departments I get involved. I will probably keep classes relatively inexpensive for the near future until I can get a reputation and following, I just want to make sure I’m not too low or high right now.

I’m not sure I’m looking in the right places or maybe I need to join an additional affiliate but I have competitive prices for individuals but not prices to charge an Agency for training.

Perhaps contact the agencies in your area(s) themselves to see what their current contracts are.

Most government contracts are public record. As such, the source would be my first destination for useful information.

Good luck!

That’s a useful suggestion. Since they’re public you could technically IPRA the information even if they don’t want to give it voluntarily.
