Per the CDC, “Seasonal influenza activity in the United States remains lower than usual for this time of year. The first novel influenza A virus infection of the 2020-2021 season was reported this week.” To the point where no one is dying from the flu since the spring of last year. Does that mean that the COVID-19 virus is killing the flu virus or does that mean that the reports are not accurate? Since the CDC states that the only way to determine whether or not you have the flu or COVID-19, as the symptoms are similar is by testing.

Because some of the symptoms of flu and COVID-19 are similar, it may be hard to tell the difference between them based on symptoms alone, and testing may be needed to help confirm a diagnosis.

This study shows that surgical masks worn by the general public have no statistical difference in infection rates from those that do not wear a mask. “A total of 3030 participants were randomly assigned to the recommendation to wear masks, and 2994 were assigned to control; 4862 completed the study. Infection with SARS-CoV-2 occurred in 42 participants recommended masks (1.8%) and 53 control participants (2.1%). [T]he difference observed was not statistically significant”.

This study shows in hospitals, while wearing an N-95 mask, hospital workers had reduced rates of infection. The bigger issue is when the general public wears masks. There are numerous factors that affect the outcome. The type of mask, duration, hygiene, etc. If your hands are infected and you touch your face taking off the mask, the mask is pointless. If the mask has the virus and you touch it, then your face, the same is true. If you don’t sanitize the mask between wearing, again, same result. Masks also reduce oxygen flow and increase blood CO2, worse in N-95 masks as they reduce the airflow the most. So if a person suffers from low-blood oxygen, such as heart patients, masks pose a serious health risk.

Keep in mind these studies involved the use of hospital masks and surgical masks, not what the vast majority of people are wearing. As to the hospital workers in the first study, they were more likely to be adhering to proper wear and hygiene than what we see in the general public.

My wife and I have traveled extensively and rarely wear a mask. Why? Well, according to the CDC’s own data on their website, we have 3 times more risk of contracting and dieting of chronic diarea than we do COVID, and nobody is destroying people’s lives over pooping themselves to death. Don’t believe the lies and scare tactics. Yes, people died from COVID, and all death is tragic. Yet more people have died from suicide, abuse, domestic violence, and depression from loosing everything they ever worked for, than the number of people who died from COVID. Think about it.

I use those little tiny mirrors that are mounted on ATMs at the bank the same way when I’m depositing/withdrawing money. Situational awareness in transitional spaces is critical.

Exactly
Hello and welcome @MamaLlama

Yes, no one that is healthy and is not at severe risk needs a mask nor a vaccine. The question that needs to be asked is why this hard-line narrative being pushed so strongly? Even with the known death rate being vastly over-counted, the survival rate is still currently 98.3%. Back in September, it was reported at 99.995%. These are not numbers to live in fear over.

This data from the CDC provides some interesting data on who is getting the virus as well as who is dying from it.

This the average number of deaths in the USA and the overall rate, per the CDC: 2,854,838 deaths, 862.5 deaths per 100,000 population. This the COVID-19 related death rate according to the CDC for the entire COVID-19 tracking span: 137 per 100,000.

Interestingly, the actual excess deaths for 2020 is about 109,000 over the cumulative expected weekly death rate. As the average annual death rate to the Flu is about 50,000, that would make COVID-19 death rate about the same as the Flu as they stopped reporting Flu deaths in 2020, at least according to the charts and graphs I have seen.

I’m a farmer, I like to plant seeds of knowledge.

I’m not new to this mask ‘thang’…did this way back in early 1980’s or even late 1970’s…years blur a bit with age.

I’ve analyzed the molecules of flatulence and the additive used in natural gas, Mercaptan, and in both these cases, masks are ineffective in “filtering” these LARGER molecules, let alone a virus. Air turbulence is also a factor as to where contamination will collect…bugs in front of car and blackboard dust on trunk begging for a finger message.

:white_check_mark: Now, I have joined the mask game for 2nd 30 day observation by participating and recording violations per CDC rules I was forced to play again. During this time I made additional discovery for you to consider:

:x: Insensible Water Loss: this is the water vapor that escapes the body 24/7 365/yr unless you were dead for a week…or is that long enough? Anyhoo… if I can add pics to help explain I will when I edit this post.

:eyes::arrow_right: typically under normal conditions, like when your comfortable & not in a NY blizzard, the body of a 70kg (abt 140#) will lose 400ml in a 24 hr period. This is where I found a data study measuring the sleeping person over 6 hrs will have collectable insensible water from breathing equal to 103.9g of water. :arrow_right::eyes: How much is 130g of water?

About ≈ 4 oz

Yep, that’s while sleeping and not doing light/medium/heavy duty work during daytime. Or when temps are extreme. So if I spill 4oz of my breath all at once on a mask…or slowly and have it evaporate w/ each breath…fogging up my glasses…car windshield…

:x: can anybody say: “clean-up isle four” please?!

Why do they call it social distancing? No one is social. Everyone is afraid to talk or look at each other, and God forbid you have an allergy and sneeze in line. It’s more like “anti-social” distancing.
And about the masks…I was wearing a mask when I entered a restaurant’s restroom. Someone had finished “paper work” in there, and it hit me…if I can smell that through a mask, what makes anyone think it’s working to keep the virus out?

This is the Socialist naming convention, use terms that people understand to be one meaning, but use it to mean something else. It began with “Liberal”/“Progressive” Democrats and “Gay”. You are being socially distanced, as you are being separated from family and friends via their orders to not have any in your home that is not directly related and living in your home. The proper term would be physical distancing, but then as that sounds harsh, the sheep might “baa”. They ramp-up the fear and the sheep run and hide from the unseen wolves (COVID-19).

I’m not getting your ‘concern’ here, if in fact it is a concern about the reflections.

Please explain.

My biggest regret during the “pandemic”, not investing in companies that make and sell plexiglass.

Masks are BS ,i live in a rual area closest neighbor 1/4 mile down the road if I went into town wore a mask. 2 jan. I was in the hospital with covid and pneumonia ! Dr said that wearing a mask was a factor as you can’t exhale the virus from your body ,and that all that sanitizing is killing off the good germs that you need to help fight the infections a good soap and water is all that you need PS the 5 days I was in the hospital never ran a temperature.

Sorry to hear you were so ill. Sounds like your Doctor is a good common sense physician.

Never thought of that. Brilliant!

I Have To agree with you whole heartedly Justin! I know theres a Lot of people who are grossly overreacting and living how the new regime wants you to, IN FEAR!!! But really, c’mon stay at home and have your groceries delivered for FEAR of getting out IN THE REAL WORLD and LIVING, a young man , or woman, a carrier of a firearm and having a fear.of contracting a virus that’s in many ways OVERPLAYED, what are you gonna do if a REAL THREAT ON YOUR LIFE ARISES and you Really have to defend yourself or family?? ORDER IN HELP VIA DELIVERY?? Jeezzzz, nobody was this fearful.of the flu, yet it took 30 or 40 thousand lives a year and those who it didnt kill, felt like they were dying! What ever happened to that? Hmmmmm, strange, nobody mentioned ANYTHING about the flu since this all began?? Maybe it got eaten by covid?? C’MON!!

Amen to that brother!! This new world psycho administration knows exactly how to control this country, FEAR!! Something we Always do best as shown everywhere you look! Tell people the boogie man is coming to get them, and you got people staying at home like punished children wearing 4 masks on top of each other, under ridiculous looking, Useless plastic shields MADE IN CHINA like everything else in the USA, prior to Trump and now more than then ever afterwards, heavy industrial strength gloves, knee boots all while walking down the street with nobody within 20 miles! Or my favorite, hanging their mask on their rearview mirrors just because they see everybody else doing it, which looks like they’re hanging their jockstrap or g-string as ornaments, insannity gone viral!! Well you’ll have to excuse me as I order my groceries for the month DELIVERED, with a few cases of ammo, Lol!

Please note they censored and deleted what I said. FYI - I agree & have even more serious concerns. However this blog is censoring much of what I have to say.

Whoa, whoa! There will be no use of facts or common sense, when talking of this topic.

Consider this your warning.

:joy:  , Almost did it with a straight face

You are correct, it’s the narrative for the media. Like “they” said, follow the science. Now science is racist, homophobic, and all the other synonyms for free people. I agree with you
