My local gun store is like an AR mecca. I bought two cheap ARs for friends to shoot at the range. Ones a Delton and the other is an Anderson. In two years I’ve put a couple thousand rounds down range out of each. No malfunctions what so ever. The accuracy isn’t bad at all. So on top of both of these is Sightmarks M Spec reflex sight. I read both stellar and they totally suck reviews. Well for the price turns out these hold zero and are surviving me with no problems at all. Even better both setups love cheap ammunition. In this day and age of unless you pay two grand for it it sucks…I love being surprised .
That’s a term that’s foreign to a Californian like me
Like “AR pistol grip”.
Budget guns that run well are the best!
I have a budget AR from Radical Arms that’s like those, totally reliable, more accurate/consistent than I could have ever hoped for, and cost less than a barrel from some manufacturers.
I’ve been a cyclist for years, and I think rifles are like bikes. For a very reasonable amount of money you can get a bike or rifle that works perfectly, will last for years, and is capable of better performance than the average user will ever realize. Then, for 10x the cost, you can put together a rifle or bike that is the absolute pinnacle of performance, but with gains so marginal that the average user would never notice.
Good point!
I also have a Anderson AM15 also with Sight Mark set up. No problem what so ever.
I have a sightmark,… but I lost the manual, and don’t know what the replacement battery is…
It was a great sight though! Granted I had it on my 15-22… but it always held zero
Do a search for “replacement batteries for Sightmark (your model here)” and you should come up with something.
Yup, now we deal with the Duck Foot, hanging off the back. Sigh!
Same as the battery that is in it.
Been gone since it went dead at the range,… I may have accidentally tossed it.
Probably a 2032 or possible the smaller 1632. Some sights have it labled under the cap where the battery lies
Mine take the 2032.
@Joseph488 It is true in amplifiers for ham radio. Buy one on the low end and get 600 watts. Buy one on the high end for many thousands of dollars and you get 1,500 watts and minimal gain. But, you do get more bells and whistles. Just like guns, boats, golf clubs, etc, etc, etc.
It all boils down to how much money one wants to spend.
@Trever1 , Those Deltons are good rifles haven’t heard anything about the other but I have found out in all the years I’ve bought guns like 300 + all together because when I was 18 you was an adult but anyway I’ve found out that 50% of it all is just for names and you don’t have to spend a grip for a good gun. Glad you figured it out to.
I have a Delton.
It’s everything you need.
