Kimber is offering magazines for my EVO SP for $4.99, but shipping is 3 times that. I’d pay 5 bucks for a mag, 18 bucks seems a bit steep.

That’s the normal now. Of lately my packages are coming USPS Parcel Select which translated means they are going to sit on it for 5 days before delivering it the last 7 miles.

Are you just buying one mag? Why? Buy at least 4 mags then the shipping will not seem so bad.

Well, the two costs aren’t related, and buying more items can help the buyer feel better. We’ve all become used to free shipping for years now, but not every company can do that…outside of Walmart, Amazon, Ebay.

Those companies still charge for shipping, they just don’t mark it as a separate charge. The cost (to them) of shipping is factored into the price of the item(s) you purchase. Massive retailers like Amazon and Walmart deal in such a tremendously vast volume of purchasing and sales that the initial product cost is low and the included cost of shipping to the consumer works out to pennies per item, making it unnoticeable in the price of the item.
Nothing is FREE. Nothing.

Blame the USPS which has jacked the prices for every level of shipping. It’s insane…

2 adapters for my newest suppressor…$10 in shipping. I don’t think the caps weigh two ounces combined. To top it off, I get emailed a satisfaction survey before I even got the caps. Then, reading the manual, it turns out I was supposed to have had one of the caps included ($84 each)…instead I got two piston adapters which I don’t use. Then I go to silencerco chat and the human was worse than the bot. Emailed, awaiting response.
Another funny was losing the hammer spring backing plate to my Marlin 60. It’s a piece of sheet metal perhaps .3-.4" pretty square. Numrich showed the part for $8 ( seriously worth 10 cents material and labor) and wanted $12 to ship. Lucky for me it was unavailable, so I took out my better flashlight and searched again, successfully.
More good news. Silencerco refunded the purchase price for the adapter…so much winning 
This can, Omega45 will be going on my new Stribog and the .300bo Barry54 built me.

Makes me wonder if the seller turns a profit on shipping in your particular situation.

I never have an issue with UPS or FedEx.
USPS is a scam. Priority Mail and Parcel Select are the same price. Priority Mail 2-3 days, Parcel Select 5-25 days.
