Im sure that has to be unconstitutional somehow. Must show papers to go to a venue? And turned into the stateâŠhmm
About 30 years ago here in Florida, I was to a large venue in Daytona. There were Police officers taking pictures of the people walking into the venue. I asked them why they were doing this and was told it helped them catch wanted criminals. ???, ok, if I were a criminal and saw pictures being take, oh yes Iâd keep walking through into the venue. I then called an Attorney and told him what was going on. About an hour & one half later there were no more pictures being taken and the Attorney notified me that the police would have to destroy all others that were taken. Attorney said he was going to try to be there when the destruction of these photos was done to make sure it happened.
Point is, donât be afraid to question something you think is wrong and take action on it.
Wow. Who would have thunk. I guess I watch too much TV. Now that I think about it if there was an active investigation, they wouldâve been able to keep the pictures of people they were investigating.
At the time this happened the law enforcement couldnât do this on a "Just incase theory ".
I would imagine they still canât unless they have probable cause.
TRUTH!
I got a speeding ticket (in the mail) the other day. The âEvidenceâ was
three photos NOT my Car, Not my Plate and finally Not my face. Hmmmm?
Easily Protested, it came off my âRecordâ but my Insurance company informed me my
rates may go up. Didnât you hear me Mr. Insurance manâa MISTAKE?
We shall see if State farm wakes up or they are gone. Good old State Farm.
. THAT (the Mis-Ticket Cameras) is our Police Force out here in Cactus Junction now. Electronic/ Surveillance. We have SO many Cameras now youâd think Albuquerque had a Crime problem?
At a Gun Show last year they (New Mexico STATE POLICE) âDisarmedâ me.
I was âAllowedâ to keep my gun but I had to empty my mags and put a zip tie through the barrel (so the slide couldnât close) (51 boolits I had to put in my pocket!) I put the gun in my waistband and the Cop said âWhatareyadoin?â
I said because of this idiocy I canât put my firearm in my Kydex holster now, you want me to carry my gun around in my hand looking stupid ? He had no reply.
A Fat lot of good my EDC would be now if some axxhat decided to WACO the placeâŠ
THEN the OBVIOUS Surveillance of Gunnerâs buying Firearms and these âPlain Clothesââ(obviously an oxymoron) peering over the shoulders of Gunnerâs filling out the 4473âsâŠ
I asked one Cop âWhatdahellyou think yerdoin?â where he got all uppity and said âMy Jobâ.
Gestapo 101 is what they teach now. I bought (300) rounds of .38 just so I could get a bag to put my bullets from my pocket n! At least thatâs the reasoning I gave to my Sister!
THEY ARE KILLING GUN SHOWS. The last time I went to a Gun Show here was FANTASTIC!
Friendly vendors, lots of great hardware and associated toys. This time I saw a Bazillion Tee shirts, Pot Holders Aprons , some with actual gun themes Gun themes, most not and awful food! How can you sell Gunners awful food?. I bought a .38 there and the vendor had a plate of mush sitting by him and I asked âIf you donât mind can I ask what the heck is that?â He said a Burrito. Really?
was it run over by a Semi? (I didnât sayâŠI just said Hmmm. ) I hope you are up to date on your Tetanus shots bud. (I also didnât say)
I wonât be back. EVER.
Sounds like an utterly bogus, ill-thought-out law. How does showing an ID as a condition of entering a building containing a gun show advance any legitimate public interest or promote public safety (which, I suspect, is the rationale offered by lawmakers for the bill)?
Imagine, the future âOffice of Gun Show Attendeesâ (the state agency that would be created to manage this new public program) trolling through lists and IDs of those who attended a gun show and the taxpayer-paid bureaucrat notices. âHmmmm ⊠I see that Mark attended the Great America Outdoor show in Harrisburg.â Now, what is supposed to happen?
The âsolutionâ to such things is political. Pro-2A people need to make an effort to recall bogus anti-2A politicians and replace them with pro-2A individuals. That requires engagement in the political system beyond simply expressing outrage at dumb legislation.
There are already states and places where you must have your ID scanned to enter a dispensary (marijuana). I realize that marijuana is currently federally illegal and does not of course share any of those Constitutional protections that the RKBA does, but there is some kind of a precedent for scanning IDâs just for going somewhere where things could be purchased.
First name Amen.
Iâm not trusting a guy named Amen.
ID required for gun show, no ID to vote! Brilliant! What a concept.
