Our democracy no longer represents The People

Our democracy no longer represents the people. Here’s how we fix it | Larry Lessig | TEDxMidAtlantic

Yes, this was 2015, and many things have happened, but this is still salient. We find when it comes out in the end, as long as not too much gerrymandering has occurred, 11 thousand votes can be significant in wrapping up a Presidential election.

Yet, it’s also true WHO “we” pick in the Primaries is pretty much left up to the richest of rich and the largest Corporations. So also are the issues we discuss and those wonderful bills that get filled with pork - obfuscating the original intent, if not destroying same, by making the title of the bill a placeholder only.

So, here’s a spark, an ember that fed with felt and tinder might have the chance to grow into a fire and - what with the current environment - could be whipped into a blaze.
