Maybe the AI was taking into consideration the dietary harm of ingesting a bag of Doritos. Doritos are not the best snack for a high school student to ingest. Perhaps identifying it as a weapon was the only way it could classify it. sort of like a submarine’s sonar classifying unknown sounds as seismic anomalies.
