Yep, I’m placing this Anniversary Topic in the Training category. Why?
As a licensed carrier, I’ve spent a fair amount of time successfully going through the USCCA Qualification levels. Reacquainting myself on some subjects and learning first time on subjects that I had never even considered before. Speaking for myself, this education has been extremely valuable!
What I had never considered, before joining the USCCA, was how much valuable information and insights that I have gained (already) from you…my online, nationwide “community.”
Thank you all (USCCA and participating members) and Cheers!
Looking forward to another great year of learning and camaraderie.
That great!!! And I wish more people would give these types of testimonials. If you knew how many folks that are members that will NEVER open up even the most basic lessons you’d be shocked….
It’s kind of like the folks in the old days that would drop a grand on a leather bound set of Encyclopedia Britannica and never crack open one volume.
I joined as a Gold Member back late last year. I immediately began taking advantage of the Protector Academy courses and free guides offered by the USCCA. After attending a local firing range open house/ USCCA event where the USCCA rep showed me what other training was available I contacted a USCCA customer service rep and changed my membership to the Elite level. Also, while talking to the rep I found out I qualified for discounts. Since then I have completed all the available courses, videos and training and am currently 50 out of 54 achievements. I have gotten several people to sign up and used gift cards in the USCCA store. If anyone is interested in signing up give the USCCA a call, and please tell them Braxton Overby sent you…Thank you…LOL
I want to welcome you to our community and a year does go by quickly.
As a side note, we have many members that are experts at many things firearms related. As time goes on, you will get a lot of insights on various aspects of the 2A world. I have found membership in this great organization invaluable. Thanks Tim!
Another side note, if you are ever in need of advice for how to explain to your wife quetionable, multi-gun purchases, may I recommend the free marriage advice of @Karacal. He will definitely stramline the process one way or the other if you take his advice. Usually the other way(the one not in your favor) prevails, but it does happen quickly…just a thought
