they are trying to push this as if she refused to stand for the national anthem which she did. what she wasn’t standing for is the separate black anthem.
we are one country with one anthem

The question is - what the Superbowl is about? Is it black people game, white people game, Jewish people game, Muslim people game… or it is just as it should be - the main American sport event, which shows the respect to ALL cultures.
Here is a second verse of the NATIONAL ANTHEM that most people don’t know about. I found this version when I took a Constitution Alive class. It is sung by a marine. And the look on peoples faces when they realized it was the NATIONAL ANTHEM.
That’s actually the 4th and last verse. It answers the question posed by the first. Francis Scott Key’s poem “Defence of Fort McHenry” all leads up to this final verse.
I once wrote to the State Deptartment’s protocol office about this, and to my surprise, someone answered. They said that, officially, you can sing any verse or any combination of verses; it’s all the National Anthem. But most people only know the first verse.
I’m not ashamed to say that I reacted to the singing of The National Anthem in exactly the same manner as the Eagles coach.
As for the “other national anthem,” huh?
Kari Lake pandering for votes.
I’m curious. What vote is she pandering for? It would seem to be pretty counterintuitive for her to be pandering. Seeing that she holds no public office. Let me guess, she is pandering for some future public office.
If that’s the plan, should she not have waited till closer to campaign season?
The National Anthem WILL be played FIRST before ANYTHING ELSE. THE STANDS FOR ALL AMERICANS! REGARDLESS of RACE, COLOR, RELIGION.
I didn’t stand either. Is that pandering too?
I grew up with one national Anthem, one!
I don’t think that’s universal. I know when I watched the Indianapolis 500, they sang plenty of songs before the National Anthem.
Why is this incident even a thing?
Because so many rich white people feel the need to show off how woke they think they are.
I muted it and left the room during the other “anthem”. I found the idea of it very repugnant. I only recognize our National Anthem. We are one America!! The UNITED States of America.
For how much longer, I wonder?
There never will be true equality in this nation until everyone is treated exactly the same. No special rights, no special benefits, everyone’s on the same playing field. Don’t see how that’s going to happen in the near future because there’s too much money in mongering to one group or the other. Too many people making their living by telling one group or the other how bad they’ve been treated. I’m not saying there is no racism in this country at all but what I am saying is that much of it is being perpetuated by parties who have a financial interest in doing so.
I don’t care what race you are, what ethnic group or religious background you come from. If you treat me with respect I will return the same to you and you are welcome in my home.
In my opinion, she is still running for office and will seek out opportunities (like this one) to remain in the public eye and generate media buzz.
If they insist, it’s the CFL, Communist Football League!
National means the United States of America
We once were a singularly minded country, United in freedom!
Now it’s a lost cause and there’s only one way to get it back!
So, following that logic. It’s not pandering by her that is the issue. It’s the media that is pandering. She is a private citizen, and acted in that instance. She didn’t invite the media to a press conference.
The public media inserted themselves into her private behavior.
Can you tell me which politician is not trying to remain in the media and public eye?
