OMG! Sensationalize Much

Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah…

It’s really great information that is there but Mormons have a tendency to be prepared for the worst when it comes to the types of firearms and number of firearms they keep in their homes and caches. Their preparedness manual for firearms is for the bare minimum of what a family should have, the Church encourages to always have more than you think you will need. But they keep their documentation light in the firearm area, because they don’t want to draw unneeded attention.

Charles calls it like he sees it and he is right, as long those at the bottom are fighting against one another and hating one another, those at the top can continue to exploit the system. When I was a Republican I was fed healthy doses of hating liberals, when I was a Democrat I was fed healthy doses of hating Conservatives. Now I hate those that want me to hate my fellow Americans. Republican and Democratic Politicians at the top work together to keep us fighting and they are getting rich doing it.

I am a Democrat and as a Republican friend said to me you are a rightist Democrat. Whatever.

The one or many things we agree on is no violence. Fiscal responsibility, YES. So much more. Anybody blowing doors off deserves to go to jail. Don’t agree on the tariffs last time they were this high was in 1947 and have decreased over the 70-80 years as people figured out the lowest cost location to make stuff. Manufacturing is not the place to be, its AI and high tech driving $ in.

This forum is about our right to defend ourselves, not economic policy. Am going to leave that alone.

Could make this a long thing but everyone gets the idea.

For far too long we (America) have been getting the short end of the trade deficit deals and other countries’ tariffs.

Trump is just trying to correct that.

Without raising our own tariffs, we have no negotiating leverage.

His sticker shock approach has got everyone’s attention and it gives us some negotiating leverage that we did not have before.

He has other countries lining up wanting to make deals.

When has that happened before?

This is just his gamesmanship at work here.

Let it play out. Our trade deficit will improve in time.

This is not permanent. It’s not a catastrophe.

It’s his wheeling, and dealing at work here.

He got their attention.

Quote for the day from the AG/DOJ:

“The federal courts have no authority to direct the Executive Branch to conduct foreign relations in a particular way, or engage with a foreign sovereign in a given manner," the filing stated.

This is in reference to deportation of violent illegals to El Salvador :el_salvador:.

They just picked his name out of the phone book, ran over there and grabbed him up and shipped him off? I doubt it. He was in view for a reason.

If you don’t prefer to read the article, the DOJ dropped the gun violation case so that there are no pending charges for which this piece of trash would need to go to court for. This expedites their ability to deport him. Good riddance.

“Illegal” is a neutral word to some. It doesn’t even register when reading a sentence.

The “innocent” man, Kilmar Abrego Garcia, was in view because he was picked up in 2019 and taken to immigration court.

During the hearing, the presiding judge ruled that there was sufficient, credible evidence for charges that he was a member of MS-13.

Kilmar Abrego Garcia and attorney(s) appealed that decision, and lost. The appellate court upheld the prior decision.

He was given a protection order stating that he couldn’t be deported to El Salvador (he is an El Salvador National) due to threats against his life by a rival gang(s). The order did not say that he could not be deported, only that he could not be deported to El Salvador.

Once MS-13 was designated as a terrorist organization, they deported him to his country of origin, El Salvador.

The destination of the deportation does appear to have been an error, the deportation itself was not. He should have been deported to any other country that would accept him.

The Supreme Court ruled that the U.S. should “facilitate” (provide the means for) his return. If he were to be returned, he would promptly be deported elsewhere.

However, now that he is in El Salvador’s custody, it would be up to them to release him. Nayib Bukele, El Salvador’s president, has advised that they will not be releasing him. As such, the U.S. is unable to “facilitate” his return.

(the preceding is a summary of this administration’s position/case).

I am a lifelong liberal. I believe in freedom of speech, freedom of conscience, freedom of religion, and free enterprise. My political heroes are JFK and Martin Luther King. I went from being a liberal to a moderate to a conservative to a right winger, all without changing my views.

HOLY CRAP! I must have been a liberal the same time as you!!!

A wonderfully accurate and succinct synopsis. It WILL fall on deaf ears. Don’t be discouraged.

In every court hearing, Trump’s team admitted he was picked up by mistake. But now that Trump lost the supreme court case, they are backtracking. The supreme court ruled unanimously 9-0 that a court hearing is required to verify the govt’s claims that the person is who they say he is and he is in fact a terrorist, and that he should be brought back to america. Facts matter.

No, they certainly don’t, since none of them has been arrested for anything they do at protests, including burning down Ferguson, cop cars, Tesla dealers, and churches, and aiming large scale fireworks at police, etc.
