Gave TV up years ago. It felt like I had a portal pouring garbage into my living room. Happier without it. Whenever I go to someone’s house and they have it on, I’m reminded that I made a good decision.

After watching the news appears their train system is burning and attacked and service had been stopped for quite a while… from many of the busiest places, the announcer at the flotilla of countries down the Seine identified the South Korean contingent in multiple languages as the North Korean crew and there is upset about the depth of the swimming pool. Other than those things, Vive la France! Now all we need is a pic of Macron and his, uh, wife in bathing suits to officially declare this as a disaster.

The Olympics a microcosm of what the USA is going through.
We’ve lost our edge, we used to dominate. I’ve seen too many mistakes, getting embarrassed. This is the generation that grew up with trophies for showing up! Now they are falling down! We don’t have Olympians anymore!

I’ve never seen so many tears in the Olympics.
From what I’ve seen so far, non of the “athletes” are performing at the levels I’ve seen in the past!

I typically don’t watch. I definitely am not going to watch after that opening ceremony stuff BUT I did go to school with a girl on the US Rugby team so I’d cheer her on. But yeah I typically don’t watch. I saw people online asking who was boycotting it and I couldn’t say I was because I don’t watch lol

In my area, I can get 2 stations without cable or satellite and one of those was PBS.

Rabbit ears? You could probably get more stations with an external antenna on your roof, or even in your attic, but with so much crap on these days, you might already be better off!

TV?.. TV?..Hmmmmm Oh yeah that Channel switching thingy…NOPE! Don’t care @ All, Don’t miss it. I Purchased Longmire , Hell on Wheels and the Walking Series’ when I heard they were Excellent.
I was on the sets of Breaking Bad and never saw an episode. No loss (for me)
As for the Special Skills and Competitions @ the Olympic’s? Hey we won Street Skateboarding! Really? Seriously? Tune in tomorrow for ‘Stoop ball Competition’ and "Mahjong’ I hear the competitors are FIERCE!

Well I did see the USA women’s Rugby team got bronze so I was happy to see that! I love Rugby as well lol It seems like there aren’t many Rugby enjoyers in the US. OR there are actually a lot and they all just think there aren’t many lol

Yeah, didn’t see it, but it is great news. Suppose it’s a bit like soccer. I think rugby fans are overshadowed by American football. When I go watch our amateur team play I don’t have to fight for a seat! Guess that’s good. And the seats are three groups of bleachers. There are no tickets, you just show up and sit down.
So, like soccer, we’ll just have to wait until it catches on and there are better facilities and more fans.

Yeah I suppose you’re right. Honestly I always thought Rugby was a bit more entertaining than American Football. Actually had a British guy tell me once he prefers rugby because in Football they stop all the time lol Pretty accurate. Maybe one day it’ll catch on!
