That also brings the question - how many of us have tourniquet accessible 24/7
People mostly think about shooting as self defense… but a big part of defense is to learn how to survive (equals - not to bleed out).
And they want to defund the police. True heroism is what I see. So many people and civilians in the area all could’ve done the same thing but didn’t.
They are on the wrong side of the gun…
Once their kids are rescued by LEO they will change their minds in seconds…
That’s a lot of kids that need saving then.
Learn how to make a tourniquet out of what available. When I cut my wrist accidentally with a pocket knife, my wife used a beach towel to make a tourniquet. Many people have used a belt. Or as Scott from Kentucky Ballistics says “Stick a thumb in it.”
I keep one in each vehicle and there’s one in my first aid kit. I don’t normally carry one with me. They’re not too difficult to improvise once you understand how they work. Don’t forget to write your time on their forehead!
This is bad but I do not have a tourniquet. I know how to make one. But a good tourniquet costs over $25. I want at least one in every vehicle an in the house. Definitely include it in a range bag. My Bruce’s husband had to use one that saved his life. He replaced his friend’s and bought more for himself/family. Some how he severely severed an arm. Lots of healing and PT later he’s doing fine.
