A New York state bill would ban body armor and force those who wear it to turn it in.
I have a lot of thoughts about this, but I’ll wait and see what the smart people here have to say, first.

Just like with NYS firearm laws, they want criminals, politicians, and LEOs to be the “only ones”. In NYS, your vote only counts after you are dead. Ex-NYer, and I approve this message.

There’s a lot of “forcing” these days.
For an external applied force , the change in velocity depends on the mass of the object. A force will cause a change in velocity; and likewise, a change in velocity will generate a force . The equation works both ways. The third law states that for every action ( force ) in nature there is an equal and opposite reaction.

What threat does body armor pose to the public? What threat does body armor pose to Government? Most interesting; what is the motive of Government to ban body armor? Clearly, Government is not serving the public interest here.

A whole group of us, motorcyclists, were pulled over at once on the blue ridge parkway years ago. When we asked the rangers why, they said, and I’m not kidding, that we looked like we might be going do something wrong…really. Once they saw that we were old guys, we took a nice pic and went on our way. Nice memory. Troubling action.

Not only does NY not want you to defend yourself with a firearm. They dont want you to be defense in any other manner. Passive protection

Your missing the big picture. No legal gun owner poses as a threat to any of these politicians and they know it. It’s when they finally shut the door on all legal gun ownership; that’s the threat they recognize and want to ensure it goes down with as little resistance as possible. I don’t get any enjoyment thinking about this but this has been their objective for total control for decades. We have to hold their feet to the fire and stop them from making harmful amendments to our constitution. We must keep it “ WE THE PEOPLE”.
