And is it CA legal?
It is either half legal in whole State, or fully legal in half of the State⦠![]()

Springfield - Kuna looks good about 1k.
Very good price for a pocket SD pistol. If you havenāt tried it be ready for lots of recoil when you do.
Yes I know because I had the Rugerās LCP and LCP2 and they had a lot of recoil. This is the first time with the LCP Max.
And it didnāt discourage you from buying the LCP Max.
Next step⦠LCP2 Max ![]()
Hey guys Iām just thinking about starting a pocket rocket collection. ![]()

Youāll find here some well qualified enablers, @Karacal chief among them . Go for it!
I just realized while dry-firing, in addition to being my first 380 auto, itās my first hammer fired pistol in almost a decade.
I too have an affinity for S&W firearms. Ten years ago I considered the LCP but purchase a 380 Bodyguard because it had a thumb safety as I didnāt want to shoot anything important while in my pocket. The BG has a horrible trigger with many failure to fire and empty magazine hold open. One of two bad purchases. The other being a Glock 22 Gen4. Now that Ruger offers the LCP Max with a thumb safety it is on my want list.
I will never āsuggestā a pistol that will lead to early arthritis ![]()
Thatās not a paddle, itās a grenade. ![]()
As long as the half isnāt half the barrel. ![]()
I must admit, despite having a Glock as well, Iām not crazy about the Glock mag release mechanism, in comparison to other brands, sometimes it feels like it takes extra effort to press that release effectively.
Then again, āIām all thumbsā.
God luck with your new purchase. Iāve had one for awhile. Iāve never had a failure to fire or failure to extract. I call it the no excuse gun. Itās so small thereās really no excuse not to carry it. Good luck and ya canāt beat the price.
