Rare these days to find a bargain at Goodwill. They are generally higher than retail.

Not here, we shop 5 different stores in 4 cities. Some stuff is priced stupid, just leave it or wait for it to go on 1/2 price. Over the years I have made $$$ reselling stuff. :+1:

That’s by far the best goodwill find. I need to go thrift store shopping more often

@Rockwolf76 Welcome to our community, we are glad to have you with us. :slightly_smiling_face:

thrift store shopping more often. Yes, you do, we (the wife and I) go 3 to 5 times a week, once you get to know the stores and where to look you will start to find more.

We don’t have any Goodwill stores near us, but we do have a few thrift stores, Restored will sell end of season clothes for $1 each—I bought a couple winter coats last spring for $1 each. Record albums, cd’s and books for 25 cents. Another one is Jasper Junction (Jasper County), I’ve bought dirty stringless guitars for $10 to $20, cleaned them up put new strings on and sold them for $50 to $100. There are other stores but these are our favorites We (wife and I) go 1 or 2 times weekly. Hit the thrift stores in the morning, then stop for lunch.

Don’t get me started on garage sales, every week in late spring, summer, and early fall. Bow and arrows, knives, compound cross bow, holsters, are some of the things that I’ve found.

The bonus is that we can spend the morning shopping and just spend a few dollars.

Nancy and I do the same, she got me started at GW and now cannot get me out.
We both have our search patterns refined and know each other’s likes
so it’s even more fun. :+1:
What I really like is when old farms have rummage sales, that’s where the good stuff is. :slightly_smiling_face:

We started at Goodwill when we lived in Hammond IN. then the Highland Thrift Store when we moved to Highland. Now we live in Jasper County, Hammond and Highland are too far to drive weekly. But we’re happy with JJ, and Restored. And yea, my wife had to drag me to Goodwill at first, but when you start finding bargains it gets addicting. :grinning:

Went to drop off stuff for Goodwill but they would not take it, it was not good enough for them.
