Name of Gun Matter to Jury?

Or a wannabe John Wick

I factor it in to my purchases/ownerships. Thought I heard one reliable source convince me it can matter. Lots on the line, I’m taking a more measured risk. I think about who the 12 jurors are “too”; what they feel, what city they are from/in. Lots of different or better “names” to choose from. Was a no-brainer for me. I sleep better cause of it, priceless. Loved your question.

Nah, I would not name a firearm after him. Nor Surely, you jest. No don’t call me Shirley…

While watching a news cast where 2 thugs were arrested the media decided to mention that an AR styled “weapon” was found in the home. I contacted the news outlet asking why they felt it was necessary to vilify that rifle by identifying it as an AR styled “weapon” instead of more accurately reporting that guns or rifles were found. First, they single out a specific style of gun meant to invoke fear in uneducated viewers and second identified it as a weapon. Weapons are firearms used in armed conflict again MSM pushing an agenda on uneducated public. If this is done daily in the media why wouldn’t it exist in count? You can bet a slick prosecutor is sure as hell going to identify the firearm used by it’s menacing name unless it doesn’t have one.

@GGBuck57 - did the news outlet respond to your query? Which news outlet was it?

Nope. Fox 13 Tampa. Heard nothing but crickets.

I’ve really done think that the name of a gun would carry much weight with a jury, but what may carry weight is the caliber of said gun. A 22 is very small where as 50BMG is quite large so it is human nature that size matters.

Does anyone remember when the DC sniper used a Bushmaster brand AR? That brand/name weapon is still banned in the socialist state of MD.
