Good to know, thanks.

I consider your advice as solid as the Rock of Gibraltar :gibraltar:.

All good :+1:,

Hard to go wrong with either. I love my 4.6" Mete SFT.

My 1st gun was a gift from my father at age 13. A winchester 22lr with a loading tobe which held 13 rounds. It had a composite stock called Zeon. Guaranteed not to chip, crack or warp for life. Unfortunately it was stolen whilecI was in the Navy but I must have put 10,000 rounds through that gun. I could buy a half gallon milk carton full of 22lr rounds back in the 60s. Great gun

I would recommend doing research on the guns your thinking about, then go find someplace to rent them and shoot them. None of us or anybody can tell you what is best for you only you can by holding and shooting them.

@Jerzees Why not talk about 1911or 2011 maybe he would end up liking them more. everything is on the table around here LOL

Perhaps I’m wrong, but if @jgVil thinks about polymer handguns, he is long way away from 1911 / 2011 platform.
But… who knows… never say “never”… :slightly_smiling_face:

I did some research and picked up a Taurus G3C because I liked the reviews, the price was right, and the feel in hand was very comfortable. Bought it, took it to the range a few times, it has become my EDC. I did upg the sights to Night Fision tritium (same withwas able to try a Canik SFX tRival at hedrange the sig, since the ones that were on it were quite old and dim I really enjoy the Taurus.

That being said, I was also lucky enough to get to try out a Canik SFx Rival that another member at my shooting club had with him a few months back. I liked it so much that I now own one of those, too. While it’s significantly larger than my Taurus (full size vs. compact), I feel that the Canik is a very good value and punches way above it’s price point.

When I’m in the market again, Canik will be at the top of my list to look at.

We have a running joke in the military:

I was not an officer, thus don’t rate a “Sir.”

I worked for my living as a Sergeant.

:rofl::rofl::rofl:
Sorry that’s my default for respect. My dad beat the word Sir from early childhood.

But both my kids are Military (one still active with 20 and one just separated after 10 years) and both Senior NCOs. So I get reminded of that all the time.

No apologies, joking aside it’s appreciated.

Sound’s like that old joke has lasted past my time in.

I am retired now, longer than I was in.
