@William591 WILLIAM! Thank you for this find. I remember when I got that album when it first came out. I know every lyric on there because I have listened to it so many times. I have my favorites. It’s hard to pick a fav when it comes to Dan but Nexus and the chorus…says it all. “Wealthy the spirit that knows its own flight, stealthy the hunter who slays his own fright, blessed the traveler who journeys the length of the light…”
I love the song Empty Cages and Ghost, neither well known, but I invite you to listen to them. The Reach…another fav. My least fav is the duet with Emmylou Harris. Eh.
The music, the voice, the songs, and Dan came at a very dark time in my life. I knew his music before this album and Netherlands will always be my favorite song of all time, another amazing album as well. It was touching and meaningful to hear the Professor’s love of this amazing poet and song writer.
