This old f@rt doesn’t trust streaming
I prefer owning physical copies.
@BeanCounter I used to date a guy who deserved this theme song. LOL
Lovely. Fascinating to see the IJM connection. My wife has a friend who worked for IJM out of the DC office a long time ago
Sorry to hear that you had a hectic, possibly stressful, day at work. On days, or at times, that I need to de-stress, I find that Chris Botti often fulfills that need. Just posting this as an option.
Yes, I occasionally would put on some smooth jazz too. I’m just in classical mode due to Christmas season.
Heavy Metal, both Sammy Hagar and Don Felder…Felder being my personal favorite.
Feeling a little less “Off Today”
Thank you for this one. I hadn’t heard or thought of him in years and then he came to mind a few days ago. Funny how that works out. And was from the town I was born in. By the time he came along, we no longer lived there.
@MrBagworm There are no coincidences! Check out this thread often. It’s almost (mostly, not quite, sort of, but kind of) a Dan Fogelberg fan club. He had many ‘hits’ but there is so much more of his music to experience and explore.
Correction:
Wanda’s Dan Fogelberg Fan Club ![]()
@Karacal So true! But true for others on here as well. I think @BeanCounter has to have an honorable mention.
It’s the unofficial DF fan club
I’ve met people who could play Leader of the Band
but not discuss Dan’s work beyond that.
Wow. Looking back through a bunch of the ones I had missed, (mostly looking to see if anyone had posted Dust in the Wind) and ran across the Honor Flight posts. I wasn’t in Viet Nam, but I was in the Air Force from '67-'71. I don’t know how many “old” guys are on here that served during that time period, but if you haven’t taken the flight, you should. It’s a great opportunity and, even though I’d visited the area before, I saw some things I probably never would have visited on my own. The closest I got to Nam was the Philippines, and that was close enough to see the busses bringing the wounded to the base hospital. There were a lot of them.
And here’s the song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tH2w6Oxx0kQ
@MrBagworm Thank you for your service and for sharing.
