My wife hates politics. Hates it. She generally doesn’t watch the news unless something big is happening. Yesterday the TV was on, and the news came on. I was cooking some meat on the grill, coming and going from the back porch. She was sitting on the couch doing a crossword. I didn’t think she was even paying attention to the TV. A story came on about Chicago pushing back on Trump’s anti-crime campaign and the use of the NG.
Without missing a beat, or even looking up from her puzzle, as I walked past to go back to the grill, she just quietly says “so apparently these people are pro-crime now.”
I believe, and hope, she represents the average American, quietly observing the stupidity that’s raging on the left.

A clip from Crockett’s appearance on the “Grounded” podcast — which premiered last Wednesday — went viral as critics seized on her remarks.
“I want to be clear that, like, law enforcement isn’t to prevent crime. Law enforcement solves crime, OK? That is what they are supposed to do. They are supposed to solve crimes, not necessarily prevent them from happening per se,” she said.

I think most all of us here feel the same, Brother. The last thing I want is to shoot someone. Ever. However, if someone attacks me or mine, he signed his own death warrant when he chose violence against me. I don’t choose violence, but will stop it by the most effective means I have available. I will not hesitate, and only when the violent criminals understand that enough of their intended victims could end their lives for their actions will this s#it stop.
