Moving MA to FL in 2025

All I can say is OMG @Karacal. That is another ducking classic response. LMAO

There are other vehicles out there. Use them to your advantage. Find a conspicuously (weaving, erratic lane changes, mechanical violations) bad driver and follow them from 100-200 yards back.

I subscribe to that theory: Call anyone who speeds ahead a “sweeper.” Like the Navy uses a mine sweeper to make sure that a channel clear of any mines laid by the enemy prior to traversing a body of water safe from that hazard.

So, yes let the idiots proceed you sweeping the highway patrols ahead, and let them keep those Mounties preoccupied.

I don’t know if it still works but back in the day, following an 18 wheeler made you safe from radar because the radar cross section of that big old truck was far larger than the one your vehicle presented. Of course, this was back in the day when truckers had a creative interpretation of what a “speed limit” sign actually meant- if it was to be taken seriously or was, in actuality, a target to shoot for.

(Thanks, sounds like fun.

Anyway to breakup the monotony, and chew up the distance.)

I don’t know about other states but KY seems to turned into A NASCAR TRACK. I-75 troopers let’s you 80-90 like you’re doing 55. They only do something if you’re being menace to traffic.

I am doing the same in 2026 so this is helpful info. I only have one item to worry about, but will look to see if the range/retailer I go to is able to ship it somewhere near where I’m moving. I do know a former Mass State Police detective who lives where I’m moving to, so at least he might know a place for me to have it shipped. We have a minivan we are driving down and we’ll have kids, pets, etc. - I don’t want to add the risk driving down 95 that I would be breaking laws just bringing it into a particular state.
