Moving and Gun Trusts

I recently moved and I want to change the address on my gun trust. Do I need an attorney to do that? I have found some websites that will do it, but they charge. I’m just asking because I don’t know and don’t really want to get charged $75 for something that I can easily do myself for free.

Does anyone know?

You should research if your state even requires your trust to have an address. If not, then amend the trust to remove it entirely. One less thing to worry about if/when you move again. Unless, of course, you move to a new state.

To answer your question, you should be able to amend it yourself without an attorney. You really only need an attorney to ensure your trust is legally valid when created. Generic do-it-yourself trusts you find online may not have sufficient protection of your privacy, safety, or control over the firearms.
