Just got back 2 American citizens held by the Taliban, in a trade for 1 Taliban figure.
Below is a story regarding the Taliban from the first Trump Presidency:

“When we were negotiating with the Taliban, when President Trump was still the president, President Trump wanted to get out of Afghanistan, but he wanted a conditions-based withdrawal, meaning. ‘you do what we tell you to do and we will start pulling troops back slowly, as long as you abide by our rules,’” he (Rep. Wesley Hunt, R-TX) said.

“President Trump and [then-Secretary of State] Mike Pompeo were talking to Taliban leadership in the room, and they had one translator. President Trump looked at the Taliban leader and said this, 'I want to leave Afghanistan, but it is going to be a conditions-based withdrawal.” And the translator translated. And he said, ‘If you harm a hair on a single American, I’m going to kill you.’

“And the translator goes [leans back]. And Trump goes, ‘Tell him! Tell him what I said,’” Hunt continued.

Trump then “reached into his pocket, pulled out a satellite photo of the leader of the Taliban’s home, and handed it to him, got up, and walked out of the room.”

“Do you know, for 18 months not a single American was killed in Afghanistan?” Hunt said. “That’s the definition of strength. That’s what I’m talking about.”

That’s a power move. That’s how you send a message. Welcome back, Mr. President.

I agree. We send operators after terrorists in other countries. What makes Mexico special?

The cartels need to end within a year. They’re extremely well funded and organized, but I believe it’s possible. If Mexico won’t take out their own trash, we need to.

But… before we can do that, we need to make sure they’re not going to cross into our territory to slaughter the families of our soldiers in retaliation — which is why we have to close the border first. Once the border is secure, then we can pretty easily wipe them out…. If our politicians have the guts to do it.

Unfortunately, our politicians dont. We have what? 300k casualties a year due to the cartel. Its way past the time to take the gloves off

I know of some southern folk that will go take care of the cartels for cases of beer and JD :slightly_smiling_face:

I loved the fact that Trump declared them terrorist organizations. Why has this taken so long?

Hopefully now that we’re on the border we can at least stop some of our guns from going over there by the truck load daily , thru those tunnels we find . We should fill the tunnels full of foo gas and light er up.
