I have security cameras around my house that claim to use AI machine learning to identify various types of movement. It identifies deer as “pets”, which is not too bad.
But when the deer turn around, the camera sees their butts and classifies that as “human.”
My laptop claims to have AI enhanced facial recognition that it uses on the lock screen. That works maybe 30% of the time, then I switch to the fingerprint reader, which works 20% of the time, and I typically use a numerical code to unlock the computer.
This morning, Alexa, Amazon’s AI, was unable to play the news because she could not access the correct feed.
