Good point. One particular gun gave me issues early on. I found out via YT that it shouldn’t be used with 115 grain until it’s broken in. Scoured the manual and no mention of that.

I did know this Bruh, Just running blocker for the Kitty Kulprit that has landed many of us in the Remote Control Apartment (right next to the 40W oil stack!)
I can resist Mr. Hickock (actually I can’t resist him either! truth be told) but that Karacal’s gun posts have a tendency to stick in my mind corrupting what little brain cells I have left while living a lifetime of service and self denial.
NOW, retired the Purchasing gloves aren’t as restricting as they were and the Credit cards are clean now soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo (there’s trouble afoot!) Muahahahahahahah! :joy:

Always trust YT… :joy:

And who said that ā€œ it shouldn’t be used with 115 grain until it’s broken inā€ ? Some youtuber or manufacturer? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

I can tell you , even I don’t have YT Channel… never use CCI Blazer Brass 9mm 115 Grain FMJ Ammo for any handgun, until you live fire 555 rounds and perform 1,200 dry fire repetitions.
You can scour any manual found on the World… no single word about this magical fact…

Meaning? They don’t tell how to properly maintain the firearm…or user is too lazy to read it?

SIG P320:

7 pages about cleaning procedure, about 30 pages about proper maintenance another 50 pages or so about dissembling. Each procedure is explained with pictures…

So.. yeah… not so much easy to understand… :joy:

How many pages on accidental discharges?

Sig 365 need to add some oil on the rear of the barrel (like Glock does), Ruger 10/22 does not how exactly explain how to insert the bolt back into the rifle ( it is easy once you learn), Ruger Mark IV says lube but not where.

My first firearm was a Ruger. I still have the pistol. Not knowing anything about guns, I read the manual front and back. All I needed was basic field stripping and pistol never gave me issues. Fundamentals carried over to other brands and models.

I own 4 Ruger firearms. There are videos available at Ruger.com detailing how to disassemble, clean, assemble. and maintenance for each of the Ruger firearms I have as applicable. YouTube is another source for these videos. Like you, if the disassembly/assembly requires a degree in mechanical engineering I’ll pass on the firearm. Additionally, before I purchase a firearm if possible I will rent one to try it out and see how it feels and shoots.
