Okay, I had to jump in on this one… Back in the 80’s I was a reserve cop for Pomona, CA and started dating this woman who worked for LA City Animal Control. I didn’t realize she was a little off until the night we were watching a movie and a cop got killed by a bad guy who put him in a choke hold. I said something to the effect of, “No way! It’s easy to get out of that!” To which she disagreed. Ten minutes later, I get up off the couch and head for the kitchen to get a glass of water. Halfway across the living room, she throws a full chokehold on me! Training kicked in, and when we dusted off, she had a dislocated jaw…and I had to find a new girlfriend!! Watch out for those who get that ‘glassy-eyed stare’ every once in a while. It could be the inklings of a deeper issue!!! Stay safe out there folks.
