And Mr. Moose…Ping-pong balls!!!
Does anyone remember White Fang?
I can’t believe I watched the whole thing, but what a perfect ending for today.
Sadly, I do remember that…
Someone once told me that they had to work eight hours and all I can think is, “Why am I a chef?” I have to prep for two hours then cook for eight hours then I have to clean the kitchen. I normally work 12 hours a day. I do have some days I have done 16 hours.
Then I remember the quote of Cowboy Roy, “Find a job you love to do and you will never have to work a day in your life!”
Remember: if you liked your job they wouldn’t have to pay you to get you to do it!
I often said that if it hadn’t been for bosses, employees, suppliers, customers, and regulators, my job would have been perfect! I did manage to strike enough of a balance to keep doing it for thirty years. I loved the work but hated the job.
For 43 of the 57 years I was somehow employed, I can say that I loved my jobs.
A couple of things come to mind.
There were times I realized I did not need a job but I did need a paycheck!
A bitchin’ sailor is a happy sailor!
The best duty assignment you ever had was the one you left or the one you were going to!
Sounds like a boat owner’s two happiest days, the day he buys his boat, and the day he sells it.
