Memes that don’t fit elsewhere II (NO Politics) (Part 1)

“The Science” is never settled.

Science is a process that follows rules designed to find failure points, and the point is to try and destroy theories, because if it can be destroyed, it isn’t true.

Theories that have no way to be shown to be false are pseudo-science, not science.

Already has, you know who or whom are the offended parties. The traffic through here has changed. Still a good place for information and some opinions are valuable. Sad to see this happening, slowly, but happening. I did not see anything offensive. If I had, would have just scrolled past. Like I said good place just need to “sift” through it.

Where did you see this and what did Scotty do?

IMHO USCCA needs to pay attention to who, how often, do they target certain folks, and where they are located… Like maybe NOT here in the USA…

other boards can trace and expel such… so can USCCA…

there are videos and pictures of cell phones n such set up in batteries to affect boards with such crap…

cancel culture has no place here… IMHO

didn’t take the oath and spend near 8 years in the military and go through combat to have someone anyone try to cancel what I post… stomp on my 1st Amendment… over the specific post listed…using cancel culture…

I can see it if it’s porn or near porn… or MAYBE specifically targets some race or some such…

IMHO trying to say that specific post is offensive suggest they identify with it???

or they’re just into cancel culture… and seein what they can get away with…

will see how this goes… not happy with this kinda thing… shouldn’t be the case here!!!

BTW was told it only takes 1…just one person… to cause this crap to happen…

the claim the community find it offensive is misleading, and incorrect IMHO…

Couldn’t agree with you more. I believe that this can be dealt with. I need to keep my thoughts and mouth within the parameters. I have been warned a couple months back. I find a fair amount of posts that have been “hidden” by myself. Sometimes makes it hard to follow, but I usually get the just of it. So…I censor some and hold my words at times.
This can be solved but, USCCA is a business and hey, money is money.

Don McLean was right, bye, bye miss American Pie, the day the music dies. The music has died!
I got the breeze in my hair, the sun is setting slowly and I’m turning blue, why? It’s over! Our way of life is setting and it ain’t pretty or sublime. We just have to survive the next couple of years!

Covered my butt, I do like it here. It certainly has changed. I’ve been here a few years, been there done that. Sometimes have to fight in a different arena. We could all just swear allegiance to socialism and be done with it!?!? I’m at a complete loss! Taking it one sunrise to the next!
Guess we’re going to have to ask ourselves, where do we stand?

I’d suggest maybe take a couple deep breaths and try to calm down. The First Amendment doesn’t protect us here — that’s about what the government is prohibited to do. We are essentially visitors in somebody else’s living room here at USCCA — forum participants don’t pick the rules of behavior, the owner does.

If a participant flags a post, or the (usually silent/absent) moderators pick it up on their own, it’s USCCA who decides whether their Community Standards are being observed or ignored, not the person who felt there was some transgression. That’s how a private forum works. Hosts are responsible for the chaos of the party and can make their own rules — some will set a high bar for civil behavior, others pretty low. Guests are expected to follow house rules, not make them or ignore them.

If I flag a problem for the good of the order, and a response is declined — I shrug and carry on. Not my house; not my problem. If I’m notified that I’ve bent or broken a community rule, I adjust my behavior or I change where I hang out. Happy guest fits in; unhappy guest goes home.
