A suspect was allegedly shot while allegedly trying to steal catalytic converters.

I suspect that being shot is a factual event that happened, and nobody needs to be convicted of a crime. The shot may be legal or may not be legal, what that shooting is ruled as would be alleged (murder, attempted murder, agg assault, justified self defense, whatever)
